NYC Labor Day Vacation
Our 6-night stay at the Best Western Jamaica was very enjoyable. Each of the front desk clerks and the manager were very helpful and friendly. As this was our first visit to New York, we needed some pointers on where to go for the subway to Manhattan. Their advice was perfect. The breakfast room was very inviting, and the food was great. Our only suggestion is that the king bed and a large comfy office chair were too large for the room. One queen bed would have been fine. Thanks! and well probably be back when we visit our daughter again.
This hotel is an easy walk to the subway to go into Manhattan. The evening and night are away from the fast pace of Manhattan. You would pay much, much more to stay in Manhattan. The cost for the subway is so reasonable!

Good location decent diggs...
We stayed at this hotel because hotels in Nassau county, where we were visiting were costly. This hotel is run by a wonderful family who is cordial and as helpful as you would want them to be. The continental breakfast was great. Fresh made waffles on a flip over waffle iron. Danish, bread products, coffee and juice. Made it difficult to want to go down the block to the Dunkin Donuts and spend money for breakfast. Conveniently located en-route to JFK airport and on the Van Wyck Expressway. The Van Wyck (pronounced Wick) connects to ALL major highways on Long Island. If I had to pick again staying outside of my visitation area, this is the first hotel that I would choose for the cost and value that you receive.
Traveler's tip for business travelers
Centrally located to Western Long Island, and Manhatten. Without traffic (Ha ha ha) only a 10 minute drive to JFK and about 25 minutes to LGA airports. Sorta nearby Jamaica train station can connect you to NYC and JFK so you dont have to have a car, but you might need a taxi to get there.
