Good Choice

Hotel itself is great with oriental (Japanese) touch. Restaurant was so-so and parking is expensive and a short walk, albeit directly connecting the garage to the lowest floor of the hotel. Nice central location to whatever we wanted to attend and see.

Disappointed

I attended a meeting held in this hotel and stayed here for convenience. The meeting room was exceptionally well decorated, not just a box. The lobby, meeting facility, and restaurant were very well done. The support staff was very responsive in setting up additional seating, as there were last minute attendees. The AV people were very capable. The Continental breakfast was excellent. The rooms, however, were a disappointment. Everything had a slight musty smell, which is consistent with the fog, but made the part of the hotel where the rooms are just smell old. The hotel advertises recent renovation, which is obviously true for the public areas. The rooms have been given some cosmetic upgrades, but they still seem dated and run down. For example, there are old bifold closet doors and beat up wood work with a new coat of paint. The bathtub is out of the 1950’s but now surrounded with marble. The renovation of the public areas is very well done. The rooms look like they were done half way and on a limited budget.

Nice room but lack in details

The location of the hotel is quite convenience. When I stepped in the hotel lobby, it is really nice and inviting. The parking attendant is nice but very vague, he would give you valet parking ticket without giving out clear directions. Do asked because you can park there to check-in for about an hour or more. fyi. Everything in the room looks perfect until ... I looked at the linen/bed cover, it is not thoroughly cleaned and someone hair is all over on both of our queen beds. The shower knob is broken. When I turned on it. It fell right off, there is not fridge (you have to pay) or ice bucket, the radio ipod is lousy producing static sound. The room tend to be hot so you have to set AC higher than normal.

Hotel Parking are expensive in the City. It ranges from $15-$65. If you arrive late at night, park on the street for free but make sure you read the restrictions. In my case, I arrived at 8pm, enjoy the city night life and hooped to my car in the morning at 8am for business, I don’t have to pay for parking fee at the hotel for $35.
