Park In York
Bed not comfortable at all - very old mattress. Room decor dated and in poor condition. Location is good and staff very nice, but that did not make up for room.

Very convenient
The hotel was very convenient to downtown York. I stayed in the older part of the hotel, but room was still very comfortable. The hallways are a bit shabby and need new carpeting. The hotel has wireless, although it was very expensive. Good place to stay.

Spectacular view of the minster
I got a riverside room on an upper floor, which offers a really nice panoramic view of the town and, of course, York Minster. Sitting by the window and watching the cathedral bath in the pose-pink light of dawn, I couldn’t help but let the scenery take my breath away.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Ghost Walk starts at 8 PM near the base of Ouse Bridge on the northern bank. If you’re traveling with kids, consider taking them on that little adventure where the guide will walk you through parts of the town and tell you ghost stories. The trip ends at about 9.
