Fantastic accommodations in Vienna
The Hotel Am Konzerthaus in Vienna exceeded my expectations. The beds were supremely comfortable, the room had plenty of space for the desk and seating area, and the bathroom amenities were a nice surprise. There were signs posted that there were renovations underway, but we never heard a sound nor saw any debris or dust. The locations was fabulous. You couldn’t pick a better spot. All forms of public transportation were less than 2 blocks away (bus across the street, U-bahn 1 block, Train 2 blocks). The desk staff were readily available, always cheerful and went above and beyond to address our questions and help us navigate. The hotel restaurant was delightful with a magnificent asparagus soup.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
We went to the local grocery (the hotel staff directed us) and bought food for storage in our in room refrigerator. Packing lunches for tours and having snacks in room for late at night saved a bundle.
