Delivers where it counts
This is a business style hotel that does the important things right and I felt compelled to answer the survey email after staying there for a few days recently. The front desk staff was courteous, and the nice man worked with housekeeping to check me in early after my 15 hour journey which meant a lot as you may imagine. The highlight for me was the bedding, which was honestly the best hotel bed I ever slept in. The flat screen HDTV was nice, as was the free high speed wired/wireless internet which to me was absolutely essential. The brakefast buffet was also above average and well stocked even after 9AM during my visit. I don’t have super high standards, but overall this hotel exceeded my expectations.

Next time I’ll stay closer
First time in the Washington area with my family. Hotel is 5/7 min drive from last metro station orange line, takes +/-1 hour to arrive downtown. No pool, no gym, but good breakfast. Calm neighborhood.

Hidden Gem
My friend and i only stayed overnight but the room was clean, beds comfortable and the hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar made it very convenient for us. We ate at the hotel and were able to hit the road on a full stomach.
Traveler's tip
Holiday Inn Express is a good place if you need your morning coffee in a hurry. The breakfast bar is great.
