Stay here only if you want to be close to the U of A
Stay here only if you want to be close to U of A and spend little time in your room. The rooms have been upgraded, but still are in pretty run down shape. Not dirty... just old. Not a bad place to stay if you don’t want to break the bank and want to be walking distance to campus.

Looking forward to never coming back
I was asleep in my room at 11pm when I woke up to a noise of water. There was a huge leak in the bathroom shower where the ceiling was caving in. I called the front desk and I was given a new room. My new room was located exactly one floor below. Needless to say, the leak was in that shower as well. When I called the front desk to complain, the clerk said "we knew this was going to happen". When I went to the third room, the bed was broken in half and the room did not have internet access. They never offered an apology, until I spoke with the manager. Also, one of the windows was missing in the room of my colleague who was in the room next door. I will NEVER be going back!

Good rate
If you want to be within walking distance to the University, this is a good location. The hotel is older, some of it is renovated but not the halls. Rooms are clean. It’s right off of Speedway road so lots of traffic noise if you are on that side. The room rate is quite reasonable compared to the Marriott which is also within walking distance. There is free underground parking as well.
