No way is this 3 stars!
Let me start by saying that we had a lovely time on Maui. This condo was in a convenient location, close to nice beaches on the sunny side of the island. When we arrived to check in we found that we had failed to call to get some kind of a code to get into the condo. The front desk didnt have it which seemed odd. So double check this before you go. The front desk is only open limited hours. A lot of weeds were growing by our entryway. We stayed in unit 212 which was very much in need of an update. It reminded us of the early 80s type decor. Lots of stains on the carpet. ick. It was supposed to have 2 queens but had 2 twin beds in one of the rooms. Very romantic when there are 2 adult couple staying there. There were 2 full baths which was nice. Dont be expecting any maid service because there isnt any. It does have its own washer and dryer so we did our own. The pools were clean and nice and the AC in our unit worked fine. If you havent done it before, we highly recommend taking a cruise to Molikini to snorkel. Magic! Also we did the beautiful but nauseating dive to Hana and found that it is easier and equally beautiful to continue back along the north part of the island rather than retracing back the way we came. This was in Oct and it was fairly dry. The road might not be so good after a big rain on it. Have fun and only stay at Maui Kamaole if you can negotiate a cheap price.
If you havent done it before we highly recoment the snorkel trip to Molokini. Many beautiful fish are just waiting for you. Magic! Also we did the beautiful but nauseating dive to Hana and found that it is easier and equally beautiful to continue back along the north part of the island rather than retracing back the way we came. This was in Oct and it was fairly dry. The road might not be so good after a big rain on it. Consider taking some Antivert if you are a passenger or are taking kids on this ride. [Thats the non drowsy type of Dramamine you can get over counter.] Also pack a lunch. Not many options along the way other than a lot of fruit smoothy stands with questionable hygienic standards.

A bit of paradise in Paradise
I would defintely recommend this condo to travelers that prefer to stay at a condo vs. hotel. I am already planning on a return stay to Maui Kamaole. The landscape, pools and the condo was truely more paradise in Paradise. The proximately to nice sandy beaches of Makena and Wailea was great. Also was able to see the summit of Haleakala from the condo grounds at sunset! I made the decision to stay at Maui Kamaole based on other travelers opinions and I am surely glad that I did.

Condo F-206 = very nice
This is my second stay with Maui Kamaole and it was just as nice this time. Nice condo, clean, partial ocean and mountain views and nice amenties. If you have children, a condo is the best way to go.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Dining out is expensive on Maui, but if you are going to splurge, you have to try Cafe Ole and Sansei Sushi. Terrific. Also, Maui Taco is so good and easy on the budget. Four Winds II is excellent for a Molokini Snorkle Tour and Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tour Co. is awesome!! If you were planning to get a family portrait done with a beautiful sunset as the back drop, be sure to check out Natalie Browns website.
