do not eat
the free breakfast is not the best. Water down O.J. and i really did not know the other stuff . I was in military and ate war food that was better. So don’t count on that to even the price out. Go to waffle house.. The room was clean the heat workedandbeds were clean good stay.
Plan on eating breakfast out. There is plenty of well know place to eat.

Excellent for 1 night
Motel is old but for its age is in good shape. Very quiet rooms and no noise from 1-81. Breakfast is ok and has good coffee and muffins. Staff is very nice. Great for VA Tech football games.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Since this is an old motel do not expect fancy and modern. It has the basics and a fridge. It is very quiet as rooms seem to be sound proof.

I’m staying here when I visit Roanoke again!
I loved the hill side setting. I loved the view of the mountains when I walked out of my room in the morning. This isn’t the Ritz but for our budget, we had a pleasent stay.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Daleville / Troutville area has a number of apple orchards. In the fall, during apple harvest there are opportunities for picking your own apples. There is business up 220 N that even makes apple butter you can view being cooked.
