Great Getaway

The accomodations were excellent and the staff was attentive and very accomodating. The meals at the three different restaurants on the property where we ate were all very good. The adjacent Villas next to the main hotel are terrific for families with children. The pools, lazy river and landscaping were all very well maintained. A relaxing visit in a beautiful setting. We will definitely come back and stay at the Omni again when we visit the Orlando area.

Had the best time!

This is a great hotel! From the lazy river pool (which was a blast) to the huge hot tub and regular pool. I don’t play golf but the golfcourse looked just beautiful. The restaurant (casual) downstairs had really delicious food and not overpriced. Even though the hotel is off the beaten path - it is very easy to get to Disney properties. ALso, there is a Publix and McDonalds and Chili’s down the street (walking distance). Everyone was so friendly- will definitely come back!

Awesome Hotel

Everything about my stay at the Omni was spectacular. The hotel on the inside was clean and bright and lovely. Outside there are a million things to do just steps from the back door. My only regret is that I went only for a friend’s wedding and stayed just one night. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy some more time at the Omni!

Not Impressed

We had our expectations at a much higher level that was delivered. We were very let down by the condition of the room and the hotel in general. The room/building was old and somewhat dumpy. The motel itself was not particularly pleasing and very disappointing.

Great Resort

It was a great place to stay for our honeymoon. Beautiful landscaping and a nice quiet area to relax. The only downside were the prices at some of the shops within the resort.

Loved This Hotel!

My husband and I recently visited this hotel for our anniversary and family vacation. The hotel has three diffent pools and an awesome lazy river. The exterior & interior of the hotel was amazing. Our 4 & 7 yr old LOVED Camp Omni! The camp offers a meal plan & will watch your kids for two hours while you dine at one of the hotel’s restaurants. This gave us down time to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel offers many activites-basketball, volleyball, tennis, video games and a shuttle to DisneyWorld. Also, the hotel is withing walking distance to Publix grocery store and many eatting places. We did have a few issues Twice roomservice forgot to clean our room. The pipes were really loud everytime we showered and you can hear everybody passing through the hallway. Overall, we had a fantastic vacation and we CAN NOT wait to return for Spring Break! Thanks Expeida for the affordable flight/hotel rates!

Alright!!

The Hotel itself is beautiful especially the pool area, the lazy river, and the gardens. We stayed in the deluxe room, the bed was a little hard for me and the pillows were to soft,The water from the shower had a lot of pressure and was uncomfortable to take a bath. Everything else was great; the I-4 is less than a mile away from the hotel but not close to international drive.

Nice pool area but too many people at the pool!

We rented the 2 bedroom with den which is like a 3 bedroom kind of. (The den is very small and has a pull out couch but the children loved it.) The living room was very spacious and also had a bar, dining table area, bar stools and nice kitchen with granite and stainless steel. There were 4 tv’s and it slept 10 easily as the living room also has a pull out queen couch. Also, we used the washer and dryer quite a bit as the bathing suits never dry on the deck with the humidity. However, we were really disappointed with the huge crowds during the day at the pools!! There were no servers walking around serving beverages or food. There was one outside bar/restaurant with a few servers and you had to wait forever to get anything. It was very disappointing and for this reason alone, we would probably not go back. We did use the pools in the evening and it was much better but the bar/restaurant was completely closed which was a bummer. They need to do something about the lack of service. Ginn Reunion Resort was better by far in my opinion. (Stayed there last time.)

Traveler's tip on local attractions

We wanted a nice pool area with many pools away from Disney. We like to do the parks/pool every other day to relax a bit.

We appreciate your feedback and take your comments seriously as we strive to improve our customer service. We apologize for your experience. July and August are the busiest times at the pools. We plan activities to keep everyone occupied and to ensure that everyone is having a great time. Your point is well taken, and we will look at the operating hours of Crocs Pool Bar as we plan for future busy times. We hope we have the opportunity to serve you again in the future and that you will see improvement. Thank you for being our guest!

Nice Hotel for the price

Enjoyed our stay here, rooms for nice, enjoyed a massage at the spa. Best feature is the lazy river although the pool area is quite busy, being able to float away the stress on the lazy river is a plus and it is openend late. Line for coffee in the morning is long maybe another shop would help especially when a conference is going on. I would definately recommend this place for families.Staff was helpful and allowed us to change to a room with a better view our second nite.

great spot close to Disney

We chose the Omni after a long search for packages on Expedia. We booked a two-room villa, however the hotel had overbooked. Rather, we stayed in a large suite which was nice, but lacked features we were hoping for: kitchen and second bed. We had to stay in this room for two days. This led to some logistical issues since we had to spend our second day moving to our new room rather than spending it at the theme parks. There was no real effort to help us move. We enjoyed the villa more. It had a full kitchen and two bedrooms with even more amenities. The villas had its own pool which was not busy. The villa pool became an issue for us one night when a group decided to use it as a party spot. It took a call and about an hour to stop. Not appreciated at 4 a.m. and unexpected at this hotel. One other issue we had was with the platinum membership which we had to beg the staff to honor. We felt like we were imposing the staff to follow through with their promises which I found to be a little annoying. We lost two items during our stay: one was a blanket that was carried off with the sheets. This was recovered. The other were three shirts that were left in the first room’s closet. The latter were never found. As much as I have mentioned problems, overall the stay was very nice. Given the location (near I-4) and the value, I would highly recommend staying at the Omni. I do think that there could be improvements in the areas I mentioned, but I’ll assume these were isolated.

Great Experience

This was a great stay. The room was comfortable and the view of the golf couse was beautiful. I look forward to staying her again soon.

Traveler's tip

You will pay a resort fee, but the parking and wireless internet are included in that charge. There is a Publix, McDonalds and Chili’s near by as well for close food options.

Great experience -- lots to like!

Very enjoyable stay. Really enjoyed the pools and lazy river. The location was great -- not too far from the parks, but far enough away to relax. Liked the short golf course for free. The restaurants were good, but a little too much air conditioning (too cold). All in all it was a great stay and we plan to go back soon!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

Customer service was clearly their number 1 priority. We were 3 adult and 3 teens and stayed in a villa. The villa was gorgeous, there was always someone at the front desk to assist us. We felt like celebrities with all the attention we were given. The pools were amazing, along with the lazy river, basketball and tennis, we did not use all of our Disney passes because we never wanted to leave the resort. By far, it was the best vacation ever. This is definitely a 5 star resort, we have decided to make this resort our annual family vacation spot.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Our children were 15, 17 & 20. We pre purchased Disney tickets and we did not use all of our visits because we never wanted to leave the resort. The location is absolutely perfect.

Great Hotel for Families

We stayed here for a week while traveling with our two boys for our Disney trip. The hotel had a nice lazy river and water slide for the kids. It also has a nice family pool as well. The grounds were really taken care of as well.

A little bit disappointed

We stayed at Omni back to 2006 and loved it, therefore, this time, we decided to stay there again for our annual disney vacation for 7 days. The service was good but the condition of the hotel is deterating. The bed has become too soft, I asked for a harder bed but was told that all beds are the same condition. They did put a wood board between the mattress and box spring to support but not too much help. House keeping looked at the replacement schedule of the bed and it will be replaced in November this year, no wonder because it was at the end of its life. Omni probably should shorten its replacement schedule to keep the top condition of the bed. When we checked in, asked for a refrigirator and was told all out. For a family vacation hotel, it should keep more refrigirators. As to pools and facilities, I have no complaint and my family spent two days within the hotel to enjoy the fun. Additionally, no laundry facility in site, the closest laundry mate was 15 miles away, just imaging in the heated July..., Print a piece of letter from my e-mail costed me almost $3, I think that was a rip off. We probbaly will try other hotels next time. However, in general, it is a good hotel just need to keep the condition of the hotel to match its reputation. A little bit disappointed.

Great Hotel - Stay in the Villas they are great

We booked this hotel for a family break, 6 or us, 4 adults and 2 kids. The Pool, Lazy River, Waterside are perfect we spent many days just hanging out round the pool. The pool side food is good, but drinks are a little expensive. We Stayed in a 2 Bedroom villa (1500+ sq ft) the kids used the pull out in the separate Den. 4 TV’s in this Villa!! a balcony, with dinning set, full kitchen. The Villa building even has its own pool and hot tub. Just a great place to stay. We played the PAR 3, that was fun. At the end of the week week we didn’t want to leave. Hope to come back in the fall.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Use the local Publix store, it’s just down the street.

Best Service - July 16-21 2009

Service was exceptional, especially Myra and her concierge staff at the Villas. My husband and I prefer a higher floor and Myra did everything she could to accomodate us. We appreciate her expedited manner in helping us with this request. The Villas are spacious, beautiful and worth the stay for roomy comfort. We had two children(7,9) who enjoyed the lazy river and room service who delivered the meals made ready for a king. I have no complaints. The shuttle service to Disney parks was convenient. We at times opted for the non free ride in the town cars which were always available. Being at the Omni is truly being at a resort, I never felt like I was not on vacation. The cleaning staff paid attention to detail with pride. The kids loved seeing the shapes of elephants made out of bath towels. The tissues were popping out of their box with an artisitc touch. Thank you staff for having such high standards in all areas of your hotel.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Book your shuttle the day before(the earlier the better). We at times had streets to ourselves in Disney due to the early hour. By 1:00 p.m. the parks are crowded. Take advantage of Camp Omni, you can have adult time for a few hours while the kids have fun with activities and games.

Parking and dining

Luxury tax sucks. They need a cheeper lunch and breakfast for familyies. Parking is really bad with the convention. They had the parking lot closed at one end on 1 day so I had to park in the road at the entrance.
