Just OK
When I first got to the resort and saw the pool there were a total of maybe 5 lounge chairs, the bar looked run down and wasnt even open, no tvs or phones in the rooms worked, theres no night life at the resort, bathrooms way too small, never any ice in the ice machine, taxis make up there prices as they go even though by law for tourists its suppose to be $5 per person. Not a place I would ever go back to.

hotel was good, staff really really nice
My sister and I spent 1 week @ Sandyport Beach resort, we are really satisfied with our stay there. The hotel is divided in 6 little buildings, some with really air con, some with ceiling fan. We stayed in a room with the ceiling fan, in August during the hottest season, and we had no problem with hot or humidity. The room was nice but not perfect, cleanness was OK, the best point was that we were just in front of the pool just perfect. Pool has a sand beach border, but you are also 5 minutes by foot to a really sand beach. we both have trouble to sleep, but we had no problem there . Please remember if you want a crazy hotel/resort with clubs and fun, dont go there. This nice place is for people who want peace. The hotel is close to 5 restaurants, regular price ($60 min for 2), remember they all lose on Monday. hotel has a partnership with runway safari, they organize trips. We tried the snorkeling day, about 5 hour long, $60, real snorkeling, play with stingrays, visit a small island, and a meal (cheeseburger and chips) Definitely a place to go.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
never take the real taxi, its too expensive because they have to import oil. Only take the taxi from/to airport, about $15 and 15 minutes. During your stay, take the taxi-bus to downtown Nassau, $1,25 one way. Visit Paradise island, best beach is cabbage beach, and its free.
