Great experience
I stayed there for 5 nights while attending a surgical course training at University of Zurich Hospital. It was great and very close to downtown.

my favorite hotel in zurich
I stayed here my first time and already returned a second time. This is a most charming European style boutique hotel, located in a quiet area just 10 minutes walk down the hill to the centre of town. Lobby, bar and restaurant are all very cosy and there are lots of friendly, young people around. Staff was extremely helpful and professional: giving us an early check-in, welcome tea, maps, etc. The (design) room looked brand new with a colourful, glass panneled bath room with large walk-in shower. Very comfortable beds. Large tv with xbox and free games and movies! W-Lan internet access at little charge. Breakfast was superb with lots of fresh food! Had one lunch at the Italian restaurant Sento, it was delicious at a good price!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Public transport is absolutely easy to ride, 24h-tickets available at the front desk for 8.- francs only! Restaurant Kantorei was a good choice for dinner!

Great Affordable Hotel
This was a nice hotel that was generally in a convenient location. It was a little bit of a walk to central part of Zurich, but close to the major tram lines. The room was clean and comfy. I only had a couple of small complaints: The double bed was not really a full-sized double bed, it was 2 twin beds pushed together, so there is a crack between the two beds. Very odd and not so comfortable. And the restaurant was nice and convenient, but I wish it were open on the weekend!
