An American Perspective
The front desk staff is polite and helpful. The lobby is attractive with bar and restaurant just a few steps away. However, the prices of the bar and restaurant are horribly high. The rooms are not air-conditioned, and you can only open up a window just a crack. First impressions of the room are cozy, comfortable, and attractive. The beds are comfortable with a thick down-filled cover. They have NO lighter blankets available at all. The rooms are not as clean as they first appear. The carpets do not look like they have been steam cleaned for months, and feel kind of grimy on your bare feet. The bathroom floors are also spotty, and do not look like they have been recently mopped. Any kind of detailed cleaning is absent just about everywhere you look. The coffee cups and water glasses are never changed out! They are somehow hand cleaned, and replaced back without any apparent dishwashing sanitation! Finding the entrance to the Hotel is horribly confusing even using a laptop GPS for turn by turn guidance. (Even a well seasoned taxi driver describes it as tricky.) The cost for 24 hour parking is very reasonable. The charge for Internet access for one day is what you would pay for an entire month of broadband access back in the USA. Overall, I would rate this hotel a 2 out of 5. If they would just spend some attention to the cleanliness of the rooms and dishware, and added air conditioning, it could have rated 4 out of 5.
