nice break from the tourists
My husband and I and our two adult children recently enjoyed a week in Prague. The big tourist sites of Prague are plagued by Disney World-size crowds. The B & B Vysehrad is close enough to these sites - by long walk or easy tram ride. We walked through the Vysehrad castle ruins (directly behind the hotel), down the road to the grocery store or bakery, and to the neighborhood bars and restaurants. We still saw all of the major sites but we enjoyed the residential / non-touristy feel of our surroundings.
Traveler's tip on dining
Czech food is meat central. Vegetarians should plan in advance to visit the few - but very good - vegetarian restaurants.

Will stay again if we return to Prague!
What to say about a B & B that doesnt come with the second B? Doesnt matter as you can get breakfast next door at the restaurant that is really good and not very expensive! The inn keeper was very nice and very helpful with tours and transport service. He helped us with our bags even. The room is actually like a small apartment with a mini stocked fridge for minimal charge. The area is awesome with several small pubs nearby (the one at the bottom of the hill on Premsylova is really good. This was a very homey place to stay. We would not stay anywhere else in Prague as long as this is available. One caveat though ... no A/C. But there was a good cross breeze with the windows open in front and back of the apartment.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
For several hours of good walking and extremely beautiful views of the city and Vltava River the Vysehrad Castle compound is directly behind this hotel. It offers several restaurants, a couple of gift shops, and lots of history as it dates to the 10th and 11th centuries. There is a beautiful basilica minor and cemetery that has the graves of composers Smetana & Antonin Dvorac as well as other famous artists and the like. FABULOUS!
