Good option in Maastricht
The Hotel is reasonably well located next to the train station, although on the other side of the river from downtown Maastricht. Still, its only a 15 min walk. There is underground parking nearby. Room was comfortable and spacious, and the service is good. Its a good value for the price.

Great Location but not managed so well
This is the third time we have stayed here. The location near the train station is superlative. They have no washcloths and do not seem to know what they are. The safe locked, I forgot the 6 digit combination (American safes use 4 digits) and it took two days to open and then couldnt be reset so we needed to move to another room. All service is handled by the Front Desk Clerks and is either very available or very slow depending on check ins, etc. The hotel in the USA would be considered a 2-3 star maximum, not a 4 star.

Rooms need updating
My rooms furniture was very tired and dated. Bedside tables of the kind I only vaguely remembered from my earliest childhood memories: with built-in radio (long broken) and switch to turn of the tv, dating from an time before remote controls. Stains on carpet, wallpaper and ceiling. And worse of all: the old double bed sagged in the middle so my partner and I rolled towards each other. Luckily the bathroom was new(ish) - now its high time to update the rest of the room!
