Modern Hotel - Oct. 2009
I had an enjoyable stay at the Modern Hotel. I picked the hotel based on it’s location and for the younger/modern style. The rooms are nice, clean, cool and have very comfortable beds. The showers are really large walk-in style with overhead ceiling shower heads that make for a very nice experience. The rooms also have quality flat screen tvs. When you get your room the staff gives you a username and password for the wireless internet service and access to the cool Modern Hotel website. The hotel/motel has a cool bar and outdoor gathering place with fire circles. I would keep in mind when selecting your room that people can be heard socializing well into the night so if your not going to be participating you may want to keep this in mind. The staff was friendly, refreshingly easy going and courteous.

It is my favorite Boise hotel.
The Modern is a great place. It looks like a 1950’s retro hotel, but just an overall nice place to stay. Comfortable, clean, close to everything downtown, a great price, bike rentals. The shower and heated bathroom floor are superb. It is my favorite Downtown Boise hotel.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Modern is in the newly reconstructed Linen District of Downtown Boise. The nearby Big City Coffee is a ’must visit’ place.
