the hotel was very dirty, bathroom had hair everywhere, bedspread had stains all over it. This was the worst hotel, the staff was alright but not very friendly.

Not at all satisfied

Though the hotel claims to be recently renevated, the grounds were not impressive. The room was dirty,the AC leaked in the floor and the toilet ran all night. The "state of the art" fitness center consisted of 3 machines, two of which were out of order. The hotel was conveniently located near Memphis Int’l, perhaps to convenient as it was located next to the FedEx terminal so the noise of the planes keeps you up all night.

It is a good hotel. Memphis is small, so with a car doesnt matter hotel ubication. food is good and not expensive. Rooms are a little bit small, but ok.

Excellent Location to Airport

The hotel was excellent. Room was clean with fluffy bed with nice pillows. Bathroom was a little small. The bathroom door was real close to the toilet. The shower curtain, needed to be a little larger to fully cover the bathtub. Hotel is close to the Memphis Zoo, Graceland and the airport. Had a ball, would recommend this hotel to everyone. The hotel staff were very helpful, pleasant and very nice. The hotel had directions to Graceland, Beale Street and many restuarants. We had a good time attending the National Baptist Convention at the Cooke Convention Center on September 7th through September 11th, 2009.

There was a problem with the air conditioning in the hotel hallways, it was not on or it was not working. The elevator felt like the heater was on full blast...in mid-August! And most importantly the security of the hotel room we were initially provided was highly questionable. We asked to be moved and requested the onsite manager to ’close the room’ until it was fully investigated because the door locks appeared to be altered. The manager that assisted us tried to fix the situation and move us quickly to our new room, but our stay was already ruined.

not a good stay

When I was checking in, I was dripped on by an overhead air duct. Hotel staff behind the desk didn’t seem to care. Room was 61 degrees when we walked in. Water damage on back and side wall with wallpaper coming off. Ice bucket was falling apart. Sleep number bed not very comfortable, but that could be us with very different numbers on each side. Went outside back door at 10:30 in the morning for a smoke and a hornet’s nest was above our heads. Someone’s empty case of beer was left at same outside door with other trash. Very disappointing for a Radisson. Do not recommend.

i stayed there for two nights and it was ok, although i had to fight for an extra bed i had ordered previously. but the problem was solved immediately.

Great Location at MEM But Noisy Rooms In Part of Hotel

This hotel has nicely landscaped grounds, a nice lobby and common areas, and fairly spacious rooms with Sleep Number beds. The restaurant is mediocre. Rooms at the back of the hotel that parallel one of the major runways at Memphis International Airport will not offer a restful experience at all. Rooms at the front of the hotel are much quieter. There is really nothing outstanding about this property, but if you need to be close to the airport (for a very early morning departing flight, for example) this is one of the best options in Memphis.

Try to have dinner at any of the excellent restaurants available in downtown, Midtown or East Memphis.

Very Impressed

I had a wonderful stay at this airport hotel. All staff were extremely accomodating and pleasant. Next time I get stranded in Memphis, I will pay to stay at the Radisson rather than get put up for free in the Holiday Inn Express.

Convenient but not impressive

This hotel is very convenient if you need to catch an early flight, as it is located at the airport grounds. The lobby area is nice and it looks like a good hotel; however, as you reach your hotel room, your opinion might change. The rooms are runned down, so don’t expect elegance. The way I look at it, I only stay there one night before my early flights so it is worth it for me. I wouldn’t stay longer than a night as it is in the airport grounds and all the FedEx planes might keep you awake.

I would look for another hotel

The location relative to the airport is unbeatable. However, our room was very musty, bordering on damp. I also hate Radisson beds (the sleep number beds). I just wouldn’t stay here again.

Adequate if you are flying out early or something

Overall fairly clean, comfortable. However, a few gripes. One is that when I checked in, they wrote the wrong number on my little envelope for the key card. So I called back to the front desk and they said they would send someone up. Meantime, I am standing in the hall for 10 minutes or so. I think, what the heck, I’ll try the rooms nearby, and magically, I find my room. Then, I walk into the room and open the refrigerator. Inside, I find the last occupant’s leftover meal. Disgusting. Also, the rooms are kind of inaccessible. You have to walk through a large lobby area, then go around the corner to a small elevator. I’m not sure who designed it, but it was not with making it easy to get to rooms in mind. Other than that, it seemed fairly clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and the internet was free.

Hotel Hell

We didn’t sleep. The hotel is on the runway, and FedEx takes off and lands (it is their hub) all night long. The beds are some of the smallest I have experienced. They have the select number beds, which I would have thought were part of my nightmare, but I never slept. The rollaway for my daughter had a huge pin in it. Fortunately, it stuck me as I made it and not her. The staff I met were nice. The hotel seemed decently clean, but we will never stay there again.

So So Hotel

I have to admit I was really concerned about staying at this hotel based on previous reviews but the location to the airport was nice so I gave it a try. Airport noise was really not that bad in my room. It took 3 rooms before I had a clean room. The hotel staff was very friendly and understanding about the condition of my first 2 rooms. My experience with the staff was excellent about putting me into a clean room. The staff was very helpful with suggestions on where to eat and directions for where I needed to go. Hotel was not a clean as I would have liked and there really is nothing around the hotel. I would not stay here for more than 1 night again.

Not impressed. Would NOT return.

For a property rated at between 3 and 4 stars I would rate it at no more than 1/2 star. One of the beds had a broken leg. Chair leg was broken. Carpet was gritty feeling and I did not want to walk on it without shoes. Bathroom was only marginally clean. The in-room coffee pot had not been cleaned in a long time. The coffee basket still had an old dried up coffee packet with mold growing on it. The coffeepot itself was not designed for the maker and did not work. There was no remote control for the TV. There is an attached restaurant, so no continental breakfast. Dinner buffet was above average on pricing and way below average on quality and quantity of food. I will not return nor would I recommend this property to anyone.

Worst Experience Ever

In my 5 years of business travel, this is my worst experience. Airplanes are literally taking off ALL NIGHT LONG 50 feet from the rooms. I am typically a sound sleeper and I couldn’t even try to sleep though it. I did not get one good nights sleep in five LONG days. I would have rather stayed in a 1 star hotel. I will know next time I come to Memphis. I hope this helps someone else not make the same mistake I did by booking this hotel. A good quality of a hotel room is to be able to SLEEP!

Good Place to Stay

Radison Inn Memphis Airport is a great place to stay if you are going to be flying out early morning and don’t want to drive a long way to the airport. You can park your car there until you return from your trip and they have a shuttle service to take you and pick you up from the airport. The hotel is very nice-it’s been remodeled recently. Good hotel and good value.
