Marion Econo Lodge
Was surprised by the reviews, though this is not a 1 it certainly is not even a 3, to even out the reviews I am giving it a one. Moldy bathroom, carpet only vacuumed in areas you can easily get at, broken sauna that appeared not to have been used for some time. I asked for an upper floor and was given a 1st floor with only a few cars in lot. When I looked up it appeared to me that the 3rd floor was turned into some type of apartments, with plants and things in windows. Shady hotel, would certainly not stay here again nor recommend...

Affordable Quality
This is my second stay at econo lodge and I was just as satified as i was during my first visit. Indoor swimming, hot tub and fitness room were a number of activities I enjoyed during my stay. The hotel also has a wonderful continental breakfast. My room was clean and spacious for my comfort. With affordable rates and good quality services, the econo lodge is my top choice when visiting Marion, IL. I plan to return very soon!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
There are plenty of restaurants and stores within minutes of this hotel so you don’t have to venture too far away. The hotel is also about 15 minutes from SIU. Some advice to those over the age of 21: If you plan to purchase alcohol while in marion, you may need to plan early or bring something with you. Marion, IL. has a law where the sale of alcohol is limited to a certain time of day and even limited to certain days.
