The window AC flooded often. The dlb bed had a plastic mattress cover & so did the thin pillows. Everyday we had to ask for a 2nd towel for the 2nd person staying. The 13in. TV received only 4 channels when the remote worked. We lost our deposit because we could not find the TV remote when we checked out. They also count the towels & sheets when you ck out. The shower temp varied from very hot to cold. Tiles were missing on the floor & wall in the Bathrm. We bought Lysol to spray on the floors & cracked bathtub. The owner told me I would lose my deposit if I did not go put my shoes on. No bare feet allowed in the hallway. No visitors allowed in the rm for free after 11pm. A small charge for ea sm. bucket of ice. The bulding materials in the hotel are worn out, and what improvements that were made were done very cheap. Poor quality & poor condition of our room & of the hotel in general. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. I think this hotel needs to be reclassified to a minus 2 1/2 stars, and should come with a warning. Enter at your own risk.

Wished I would have looked into this hotel further

Stayed here during jazz fest. I have never stayed anywhere quiet like this. Very cheap is what you can expect if you stay here. There was no dresser, a 13 inch tv, nothing but a sink with no cabinet, only furniture was a very old cheap nite stand and the worst bed i have ever seen, thats it. Would have truly rather had a tent. I feel i was taken advantage of for what i paid, with that said, i would never stay again at any price. I am not one to complain but i dont want anyone to have to go thru what we did.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Walking to bourbon during day light hours was fine but i would taxi back after dark. I actully payed to park on canal st which wasnt cheap, taxi would be cheaper.

Traveler's tip on dining

Johnny’s Poboy restaurant was our favorite place. Also Mr. B’s.
