Very nice stay in Victoria

Great location close to the Inner Harbor. Our room was clean and well maintained. The bed was quite comfortable- one of the best I’ve slept in while traveling. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We’d definitely stay here again.

Craigdarroch Castle and Hatley Park are great locations to visit. Hatley is a bit of trek, but well worth it. The Blue Fox Cafe was spectacular if you can mind the long line...

Rooms were spacious and well appointed. The only inconvenience was that morning coffee was only available in the hotel restaurant for a charge.

The perfect place for us.

The location of the Marriott was perfect for us while we were in Victoria without a car. We were able to walk to or connect with everything we wanted to do. The hotel was friendly & comfortable with enough amenities to make us feel pampered. We recommend this hotel and would stay there again without hesitation.

Great location, great hotel

Once of the nicest Marriott properties I’ve stayed at (other than JWs). The location was superb (about a block from the bus depot). We upgraded to the concierge level rooms which were totally worth it (assuming you get a good price) since Victoria is not cheap. They had breakfast, drinks throughout the day, appetizers before dinner, and dessert in the evening. Our room was on the 10th floor with a great view of the harbor and even a balcony. Since it was a corner room, the floor plan was pretty roomy.

Skip the car rental. We used Pacific Coach from the Vancouver airport (bus to ferry, ferry ride, and bus to bus depot - which is 1 block from the hotel). We used the same company to get back to Vancouver. In Vancouver, the bus terminal connects with the skytrain or the Canada line. Very easy and much less expensive than renting a car.

I travel a lot. This is one of the friendliest hotels I have stayed in. Enjoyed every minute.

Great hotel for family with kids

We stayed for 2 nights with our 3.5 year old son and very pleased with the comfort and the cleanliness. The swimming pool and the changing room are also very clean unlike many other hotels we have stayed. We reserved the room on concierge level. The concierge lounge is too small especially during breakfast. But the food there was great. Staying with small kid knowing there’s food available is great and when my son loved going up to check the snacks out. The location is good. We walked with our son for one block to the back of the Empress hotel and cut through the city conference building to inside the hotel and out in the front and there you are at the heart of the inner Harbour. The Miniature World and the bug zoo are also in short walk distance.

Good Central Location

Front desk service was very good. The location is great; near the harbour, bus station, and downtown. The biggest complaint is the inadequate elevator service. Three elevators are not enough for the entire hotel. It seems to be the case when elevators are not prompt, that people feel the need to hold them, making the problem infinitely worse. The wait was so long at times that we took the stairs to the 15th floor! The only other complaint is the overselling of concierge service for the limited space. The concierge room is far too crowded much of the time, making grabbing so-so snacks a time-consuming chore. Although it is not overly expensive, it seems to defeat the purpose of the premium service. I would suggest expanding the room. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and see the city.

It is quick, inexpensive and easy to rent bikes from a bike shop about 1/2 block away. Ask for suggested rides. You can start by riding through Beacon Hill Park and then riding along the beautiful waterfront as you leave the city. It is a short ride into Oak Bay, where you can see some amazing homes and gardens. It is a great place to grab lunch or afternoon tea.

We were very pleased with the Marriott Inner Harbor from the moment we stepped into the lobby. It was bustling with activity, a wedding going on we later found out, but the staff were very efficient, professional, ultra polite and courteous and mostly, everyone had a smile on his or her face which made us feel welcome and relaxed instantly. We ordered room service the first night after a long travel day. Our meal had fine dining presentation and was fresh and hot. The fitness facility and pool was mediocre, small, but clean and had a large supply of towels. Everything was within short walking distance from the IMAX and BC Museum to great restaurants and shopping. We definitely recommend this hotel the next time you stay in Victoria, BC.

The room was very nice. Hotel personel were very helpful in giving us information about the area and printing out maps for us. I would definitely stay there again.

Great Hotel

Everyone was so helpful with directions and suggestions for our stay. Beautiful hotel and so close to everything. Bus stops are one block away for any travel. We did not even need a rental car.

We took the ferry over from Anacortes. The bus took us to the hotel for $2.50. Also bus trips to the Buchart Gardens stop at this hotel. Walking distance to harbor, museum, shops, etc.

Well located and comfortable, but skip the concierge level.

The hotel was well located, within easy walking distance of most local attractions. The room had a lovely view of the city, though not the harbor and the beds were very comfortable. Service was excellent. We opted for the concierge level based on recommendations here, but found the selection of snacks and hors d’ouevres was uninteresting and limited, the cost of alcoholic beverages (a glass of wine costing more than hard liquor) excessive and overall ambiance falling short of our expectations. One couple had brought a bottle of their own wine to drink andwere told they could not drink their own wine in the Concierge Lounge. Seating in the Lounge was limited to tables and chairs. Until this facility is upgraded I would not opt to spend the extra cost for Concierge Level Service.

It was a great Stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone was very friendly. The only complaint I had was the fitness center. Otherwise, everything was great.

Restful stay wonderful nature

Walking distance to great restaurants, the board walk, Empress Hotel, and more. I don’t usually recommend hotel restaurants but this hotel cab serve a great plate.

The taxi ride from the airport to the hotel is around 60 dollars US. Might as well rent a car. Ride a sail boat to see nature. It’s peaceful and quiet with no motor noise.

Would go back in heartbeat!!

This hotel was everything I expected and so much more. The conceirge level room upgrade was well worth it due having children along. The hotel was located ideally for accessing the inner harbour, China town, and just exploring the beauty of Victoria.

Upgrade to the concierge room level as you have free breakfast (not just a bowl of cereal or toast), early evening appetizers, and a dessert bar at night.

We wanted a well known hotel to stay at for our visit and we were very pleased with our choice. The hotel was close to everything and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The staff was very helpful.

You must go to Butchart Gardens. A bus picks you up right from the hotel and the cost covers your admission. It was a beautiful place.

Butchart Gardens is absolutely fantastic. there is a bus that picks up at the hotel and the fare includes round trip and admission. It has several pick up and departure times available to use as you choose.
