Good hotel, not so good service, excellent value

Hard to find its location, Great building but staff are not trained to give exceptional customer service.

Good hotel, good service.

Very good hotel, this is the hotel user by the Real Madrid soccer team for concentration before the matches. SPA is good, but not kids friendly.. Hotel is in a residential area far from city center and atractions, but you can easily get there via subway or bus within 30 minutes. Room i got (suite) was very spacious and confortable. Bathroom was excellent, five stars.

There is a good mall at 5 minutes walking distance, with some restaurants, fast food, and a good department store Macy’s type (Conte Ingles)

Close to Metro/helpful staff

A well appointed hotel with good exercise and spa facilities. The room has a kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave and sink, but no plates or utensils. The free shuttle to/from the airport is a nice perk. The hotel is located about 3 blocks from the #9 line Metro that gets you anywhere into Madrid City Center in less than 30 minutes. At a market near the Metro we bought yogurt and munchies. Tuesday-Saturday evenings there was music in the lobby lounge area. Would definitely stay there again.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Definitely purchase the Madrid Pass which allows entry to Museums and the Madrid Vision tours. Best part is for some venues (Prado, Royal Palace) the Pass allows you to skip the waiting lines. At the Royal Palace, we saved at least a half hour of waiting in line.

Beautiful hotel

We easily walked to the city’s great subway to visit the Prado. The hotel was new and beautiful. Room service was excellent.

The room had a microwave and fridge. There was a small grocery store across the street with wine and cheese.

Fantastic hotel if....

Here’s the scoop: This is a great hotel, far from the center of town. A cab, bus or subway trip the the center where all the attractions are will take you 30+ minutes. If you come for a short stay, need to get to your room a few times a day, this is not the place for you. If on the other hand you want a great room, wonderful facilities and mingling with the Spanish people is part of your experience as a tourist - go for it, it is the best.

the only place to stay in Madrid!

This hotel was a travelers dream come true. They picked us up at the airport and returned us as part of their customer service. The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. Staff was outstanding and friendly. The bus was right out front of the hotel to travel in to Madrid for 1 Euro. The hotel was in a quiet neighborhood yet convenient to Madrid for touring and dining.

Take advantage by having the hotel pick you up at the airport. A car is not necessary in Madrid!

The only draw back was the water system, the showers and water was always going low and high in pressure which made it awkward to take a decent shower.

I would recommend shopping in the nearby food store for some light microwavable food, as in spain, people eat alot, and there are plenty of local eateries to dine in for far less than what the hotel charges, but if you want some of the best dinning in spain, the hotel is the place to eat.

Very comfortable but not ideal for tourists

The hotel is lovely and located close to a metro stop. The walk to the metro is fine during the day but a bit secluded (next to a park) at night. It was about 30 minutes by metro to the Prado Museum and about the same to major shopping and tourism. No complaints about the room, beautiful pool, short drive from the airport. Room service was a disaster and I didn’t see anywhere very close by to grab a bite. The room did have a fridge and micro and a small grocery store was nearby.

Would love to go back..

They gave my husband and I a HUGE suite. It was all very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and professional. They tried very hard to meet our every need. Had a lovely stay! And it is a beautiful hotel. Spa was under repair though and the restaurant hostess was a ittle abrupt! Coffee shop was great!

It is a little far away from the ciy center. But there is metro close by and the hotel gets you a taxi any time you need one.

I would give it another chance

The hotel and suite were beautiful, very modern, and very expensive. It had all the amenities one might want....however, the shower would go from hot to cold and back, from excellent stream to poor stream and back, the bathtub would not drain, the telephone did not work, and TV came on in the middle of the night by itself.

This is a new hotel with a beautiful pool and a spa. The service is good and the rooms are newly furnished and very comfortable

Very relaxing

The hotel was in a nice neighborhood within walking distance of a great American style mall. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was not worth 25 Euro, but there is a cafe just down the street and a grocery store close by. We enjoyed the pool and the poolside cafe which is particularly charming in the evening. It’s an easy commute into downtown Madrid either by taxi or using the metro. The amenities at the hotel were great, although I was told it would be impossible for me to get an iron or to have anything ironed. So we were wrinkled, but really enjoyed being out of the city-center. I would recommend this hotel if you want to sight-see a little, but mostly this is a great hotel for a leisure stay in Madrid.

Great Spa Hotel in Madrid

Very impressive. A little away from the hustle of the turist area of Madrid, but that suited us just fine.

Absolutely Wonderful

The hotel was absolutely fantastic. The service was unparalleled, whether we left the room at 10am or 6pm, it was always serviced and restocked. A bit off the beaten path, true, however the Metro station is easily accessible and this hotel is worth the extra effort. Cannot wait to return.

Taxi fare is very expensive (avg approx 20 Euro) but the metro is close and will cost you only 1 Euro. Metro is quite clean and safe, makes everything in downtown Madrid easily accessible.

Excellent Hotel

Great Hotel!!! The Mirasierra is a great hotel with excelent facilities and rooms. The staff is profesional and attentive.The only thing you might take into consideration is that the Hotel is located in the suburbs about 40 minutes away(by metro) from the tourist attractions. For me it was worth it. This is definately a five star hotel at a moderate price. Best hotel I stayed in during my vacation in Europe.

Stay away from the restaurant/room service. It’s way too expensive for the quality. There is a supermarket a block away. Additionally, there is also a mall where you can get breakfast at a reasonable price.

Good hotel, bad location

If you are traveling to see Madrid for leisure, this hotel is very far from all the sites to see. Our room was nice, but had a very odd odor. Staff was overall very friendly.

Fantastic!!!

It was one of the best hotels in spain!! I really enjoyed every min !! checking in was fast and smooth.. the room was clean! The spa was amazing!!!

The architectures of this hotel is impressive, the quality of the service very good. If you do not mind not being at the center of Madrid is a good bet.
