Not as I expected.
Hotel was suggested by family member who had stayed there a number of years ago. Hotel was nice, rooms were large, however the shower didnt work properly and we had maintenace fix it and it still didnt work. Since it was hot the week we were there we wanted to have dinner in hotel restaurant, we asked if the indoor dining room was open, but they ony served dinner in the terrace, so we had to go elsewere.
Traveler's tip
Suggest you visit Rome either in the Sprin or the Fall. We were there and the temperature never went under 90 Degrees.

great location,gorgeous gardens,room with a view
we loved this hotel! very beautiful, rooms are large.(did not request it)...but got a very nice room with a terrace- overlooking the garden with a little table & chairs, lovely blue linen tablecloth... had room service breakfast there in the mornings & sat out there in the evenings, just enjoying being in Rome. clean comphy beds-good air conditioning. great central location, close to a number of famous attractions. good bus service not far from main train station. AND they let us go into our room with just a short wait in the a.m. so nice when you are traveling with kids and jet lagged. they dont do that as a rule, but made an exception for us....I tried speaking my fractured Italian and the staff seemed charmed & helpful. I would like to add that I have worked for an airline for over 30 years and have travelled the world-this hotel is very good.

Wonderful Hotel!
Hotel Quirinale had wonderful charm and a very attentive staff. The room was spacious, even by US standards and had everything we could have needed. Breakfast was included and there was great variety in offerings. Our only complaint is that there was an additional cost for Internet. It was very close to the subway which we found great for getting around and seeing the sites. We were also very close to the historic district which allowed us to walk many places as well. The hotel is in the same block as the Rome Opera and one night we heard music - which was wonderful to fall to sleep to!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
It pays to be near the subway as we saw many areas in Rome because our hotel was less than a block from the subway line.
