A fair place to stay
Clean, and staff helpful. Has fridge and microwave. Price reasonable. However, keys are electronic button you put up to the lock, it beeps, unlocking the door. I was awakened Friday night every hour or so until 3 in the morning by beeps of rooms around us. Also, for Orthodox Jewish visitors, although the place is inside the eruv, I’ve been informed by a frequent traveler there the Townhouse Motel, which is closer to Congregation Emek Beracha, is more accomodating to frum visitors.
Traveler's tip
The Oak Motel is located on El Camino Real, which is Motel Alley - you have a wide choice of places to stay there, including "budget" chains. If you keep kosher, The Kitchen Table in Mt. View nearby is the only full kosher restaurant in the area, and will make a kosher Shabbos package for you on request - but they close early. There is also Molly Stone’s, a nonkosher grocery, nearby which stocks other kosher products.
