Satisfied with my stay

My stay at this ramada seoul was okay. Im completely satisfied with their room and their room service. I just had some problem with the heating system. I woke up in the middle of the night and the temperature inside the room was 85 degrees. Had to turn it off to bring down the temperature. Asked engineering how to adjust it the following day. I can recommend this hotel to travelers in korea.

Wonderful Service

Excellent Service; Very Nice Staff; Food was expensive at the hotel, so just went across the street to a nice little diner with great food at very cheap prices; Location is in "New Seoul" so you have to get a taxi to go see "Old Seoul" but we would definitely recommend the hotel to others.

Ramada Seoul

This hotel was very clean, in a good area and was very comfortable. I was basically stuck in Seoul for 2 days and the hotel made the stay much easier.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

The staff have good English skills, important in Korea.

Well worth the money

Very satisfied. The only down side is that it’s a long walk to the subway, but that is not the hotels fault. Highly Highly reccomend.

ramada seoul

the hotel is well located and while the people at the desk sometimes did not understand my requests the concierge was always helpful. Make sure you take a card from the desk with you as cabbies do not always know the hotel (I guess it changed names sometime in the recent past). Hotel was very clean and had all the accomodations I needed.

Noisy on Weekends

Overall the Ramada Seoul was clean and convenient. Like many hotels simple things like a cup of coffee in the lobby lounge was silly expensive - better to walk a block to the nearby coffee shop. The biggest issue with this hotel was the after hours bar across the street that cranked up both Fri and Sat nights at about 4am. If you are unlucky enough to be in rooms on the front of the hotel - get ready for a thud, thud, thud beat of heavy bass everytime someone opens the door.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

make sure you get a room on the back side of the hotel.

The location is good

The location is really nice because it is very close to the COEX Convention and Exhibition Center as well as the business center of Seoul. Unless you want to pay more to stay at the two Intercontinental hotels attached to the COEX, I think Ramada is the only decent choice that is still close. But the hotel is not brand new and it could have been cleaner, and I think they reuse the slippers in room.

Good value for money

I stayed at this hotel for one week. The room was clean and comfortable, but lacked any extras that would warrant a 5 rating. The staff were helpful; they could help us reserve tickets for area shows and recommend some great restaurants. The male sauna is nice but is not a replacement for a full fledged day spa. Overall, I think this hotel is good value for money and, due to its location, would be particularly well suited to business travelers. If I were to visit Seoul again I would definitely consider staying here.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Be sure to ask for a hotel business card when you arrive. Most taxi drivers I encountered were unfamiliar with this hotel and you’ll need the card to help explain.

Good value near COEX

The Ramada is a good value with friendly staff. Behind the hotel is a wooded park great for walking. I would certainly stay there again.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The KAL limousine buses are fast and much cheaper than taxis when traveling between Incheon airport and major hotels in Seoul. The ordinary airport buses make many more stops, are not nearly as nice and cost only a little less, although they cover the entire city. In both cases, the buses charge a fixed fare while the taxis’ meters continue to run when stuck in Seoul’s common traffic jams.

Ramada

The hotel we stayed at was very exceptional. To be completely honest, Ramada does not have the best name in America. We stayed at the Ramada in Seoul Korea - Amazing. The people who worked there were very sincere and helped us with every aspect of our trip. I would definitely recommend staying there. If I go back, I would absolutely stay there.

OK

Hotel is ok. Rooms are small. Hotel staff is very nice. Overall I recommend to pay 20 or 30 USD more and go to Sofitel Hotel.

I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel staff were very friendly, spoke English and accomodating. We had two rooms becauses we had two teenage children and they even gave us the US electric transformer box for us to use the entire two weeks of stay. Beds were too hard, but other than this hotel was very satisfactory.

Traveler's tip on dining

WE had breakfast at the hotel for four of us and it was $105! Wasy too expensive! There are plenty of places to eat near the hotel and good food! Although taxi is readily available many we walked to the Coex Mall, really nice, big mall, quiet often and it took only 15 minutes.

Ramada Seoul - Non-Smoking?

The hotel was pretty good overall. The hotels breakfast is too much at $15.00 per person. The biggest problem my wife and I had was the smoky smell of the hallways and our room all of which where supposed to be non-smoking. After a couple of nights we figured out that there is a club on the roof of the hotel. I had a full conversation in English one morning with a front desk clerk about buying a ticket for their breakfast and she sold me a bus ticket.

Sewage Smell At Night

Location is good and the staff is nice and speaks English. If you request a king bed you will get a queen size not a king, so plan in getting double beds if you and your other are used to big beds. Big problem is at night the bathroom smells like sewage. We had to place a towel on the shower drain and on another drain to aleviate the foul smell. If you want to have fun early morning and your room leads to the street watch drunk men leaving massage parlor accross the street falling to the floor.

Traveler's tip

Don’t miss the tour to the DMZ.

Clean, well priced hotel.

I just stayed for one night. My hotel room was comfortable and clean. The room was in good condition and the furniture and bedding seemed to be fairly new. Just a $2 taxi ride to CoEx.

More than expected

There’s a limousine bus service (with separate small fee) from the airport to the hotel which was very convenient albeit slightly naseauting ride due to traffic and driver. We had some trouble at the check-in counter; for a few short breaths, the person at the counter couldn’t find our reservation! A scary moment, but all ended well when we opened the door to our unexpectedly spacious room. The bed is big and comfy for two person, 4 super comfy pillows and a body pillow. The bathroom is pretty chic as well. There is a mini-bar + refrigerator, loaded with drinks and other necessities, however they’ll charge you if you decide to drink/use them. It’s a little overpriced. But overall, we had no problem whatsoever with the room and was more than happy to return to it everyday after a long day in the city. The staff were nice and helpful (note: the degree of service is probably not as good as Japan if you’re used to the service over there). They can speak English and probably Japanese as well which is super helpful. It is (really) walkable to Seolleung Station. I didn’t mind the walk, but some people might consider it a little out of the way. Hotel is pretty close to Gangnam (stn), which is a GREAT spot to check out at night. Great atmosphere to walk around. Also, if you’re using the limousine bus to head back to the airport, be sure to leave enough time between travel and flight time, as bus might be late due to traffic/weather.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Breakfast at hotel is okay and slightly expensive. If you want breakfast, it’s better off to walk towards the Seolleung Stn. where you’ll find a shop called, "A TwoSome Place" along the way. You can order delicious sandwiches, drinks and cakes. You can even use their internet for free whereas you have to pay a fee for every 30 mins at the hotel. At night around the station, there are food venders selling delicious food for cheap prices!
