Little confusion with room, but worked out in the end.
We had a little trouble with the initial room we got when we checked in -- it wasn’t what we had reserved (we got one small double when we reserved two singles), and the night clerk didn’t have any other rooms for us to take. So we went down first thing in the AM to talk to the manager, who informed us that we’d have a new room by the time we came back that day. Sure enough, we had a new room, which was exactly what we wanted. We were happy that the discrepancy was resolved without much of a fight, but we were still disappointed that our first night’s sleep was interrupted because neither one of us (new friends) wanted to disturb the other. The first room was TINY, but the second was a little larger. Same with the bathrooms. The second room was much better than the first -- but both were neatly renovated and clean. The staff was friendly enough. The location is good, near a subway station and plenty of places to eat. I’d try it again!

Great bargain
The rooms are small but very clean and new--not luxury but all I needed. I would definitely stay there again.
