Sea front location
Great hotel with fantastic sea front rooms overlooking the horizon...beach right on the doorstep and could hear the waves at night from the room.The sand was quite different than i expected having small pebbles rather than fine sand.The sea looked clean enough besides the pool is also available. The breakfast was great with lot of choice,Waiters were friendly and overall the Hotel was to my expectations. The only problem is the location ...there are no immediate restaurants near hotel and i would recommend tico tico and try to book a place upstairs with a fine view of the horizon sunset.The train station is a steep climb and could be sweety in summer...i did not find any taxis near Meta train station when i arrived so i had to make my way downhill to the hotel arriving well worn out going through narrow streets and two way traffic.Other wise i would go back anytime.

Good Find, Very Good all around, Get a rental car
Nice little place, its rare for a Sorrento hotel to be down by its own beach (rocks) since most of the area is cliffside (this is a huge +). The staff was nice and helpfull and the hotel is very clean and spacious. The free breakfast was very good and saves you cash. I suggest not to have a room on the top (6th) floor as you get a more basic room and a giant patio you share with the entire floor rather then a nice private balcony. This blocks the sea view from your room and feels not as secure as it should (open access front and back). Im from Los Angeles so Im used to big rooms, Americans should spend the extra$$ and get the Junior Suite. You will certainly feel more comfortable and the Jr Suite is much better all around (bathroom as well). The standard street view rooms are extreamly small. There are a good deal of places to go, see, eat none of them walking distance. Dinner at the hotel is pricy and basic, the Tico Tico resturant is nearby and excellent (get a table upstairs)! Dont forget to take a short drive to Positano and Amalfi, once in a lifetime view.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Get a car. Parking is free at the hotel and is only a minor challange around town (even Rome). You will get the hang of driving in Italy quickly so its not that bad. A one way trip from the train station to the hotel is around 45 euros easly a days car rental fee.
