Though hotel was clean and comfortable. Hot water would run out , could only take a quick shower. Continential breakfast left a bit to be desired. Should have been better for the money.

There was a reason this hotel had empty rooms...It was a dump.

Not bad

Other than the fact that the hotel could use some new caulk in the bathroom/sink area, and perhaps some pillow top mattresses, I have no complaints. Free Breakfast is always a plus for me. Easy check-in and check-out. Price was okay considering it was check in week at Virginia Tech. Lots of parking.

Motel in deteriorating condition

This motel badly needs upgrading. The room smelled odd (possibly from a cleaner) and everything in the room was old and cheap. The rug was well worn. The bedcovers had cigarette burns on them and the pillows were thin. The sheets barely covered the beds. The continental breakfast offered a very limited selection of foods, and other hotel guests complained that the coffee was terrible. (We didn’t try the coffee.) On the positive side, the shower was fine. The pool was tiny but the pool area was well maintained. Also, the hotel staff were pleasant enough.

Good for Short Visit

This is actually a cute and cozy one-level facility. Was quiet. Only problem was a very soiled pillow case on an even more soiled pillow. Pillows were mush, but it was ok since I always travel with my own pillow. Continental breakfast was nice and hit the spot.

it was a pleasant enough stay. would have liked a micorwave in room and a refrigerator. but i twas easy enough to use the one in lobby

Clean and comfortable

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and staff was friendly and helpful. Not a "world class" type of place, but it certainly met my needs. I would stay there again

Quaint

This was a quaint hotel. The continental breakfast wasn’t "healthy friendly" but they seldom are. Room was clean. It snowed while we were there and they were attentive to that.

Horrible hotel room and smell

The hotel room had a horrible smell and the room was very dingy. The water in the shower would switch from hot to cold and back again continuously throughout the shower. I would never stay here again.

Simple, Safe and Economical

This was a wonderful economical option for our college visit trip. We just needed a simple and safe place to stay - we were only in our room for a total of 8 hours to sleep, but it was perfect. It was clean and felt very safe. The late evening check in person was very helpful and had our room waiting when we got there at 10pm.

Nice stay

Certainly not the most upscale accommodations, but still a friendly little place to visit. Very welcoming! Near a lot of good places to eat, too.

We have used this motel for overnight stops for several summers now and have always been pleased.

The restaurant appeared to be delapitated and the so called continental breakfast consisted of raising bran or english muffin, and that was it..

Didn’t get what we paid for, bed was hard as a rock, room could have been cleaner. I have stayed in nicer rooms for less. My wife and I will not be going back.

Nice enough

Older, basic motel but, the Rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. The nicest part - because the motel was not right on the road (up an embankment from the road), it was very quiet. That was nice! The manager was friendly too.

Cheap shouldn’t mean filthy

I was totaly uncomfortable in this room due to the fact that it was filthy and stinky. Our towel obviously were not changed as there was hand prints and boogers on them. We barely slept and left the following morning at 4am.

This hotel was better than expected from the looks of the outside. The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful, the location convenient.

Good Place for an overnight stay

Clean and comfortable. Two criticisms: pillows on our King bed were rather small and complimentatry continental breakfast was not well stocked.
