Oro Grande in Keystone, CO

Nice condos - My only complaint was that there is no AC so we had to open the windows but it is right on the street so it was really noisy. Other than that, very comfortable!

Great and sooooo relaxing

This hotel was great. Checkin was easy. It was in a great location. The condo was so roomy and all new furniture.

Nice condo not too far from the action

Not too far from the heart of Keystone ski area. The bus schedule was a bit confusing and the shuttle service would not come to the condo because they said the Oro Grande didn’t renew it’s contract, so that was a bummer. We just ended up driving more. The highway is right by the Oro Grande so sleeping with the windows open was noisy. Aside of those things, it was a really nice place to stay.

There is a Mexican resturant right down the street from the condo that has a giant sandbox....great for the kids!

Great place, but noisy!

Really impressed with the hotel considering how cheap it was. It is a bit out of the way, but walking to the River Run area was no problem. Only compliant is that we stayed during the Brewfest weekend and every night we kept getting waken up by noisy people outside. Not sure if this is the norm, but we will definitely bring ear plugs next time!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Right off I-70/US 6 in Dillon is a City Market- go there before you go to the hotel to stock up on food/other goodies. We ended up spending unnecessary time traveling back and forth. Also, instead of waiting around for the shuttle, just walk to River Run- it is a simple mostly flat 1 mile walk :)

Nice but noisy

The Oro Grande was a nice place to stay, very comfortable except for the highway traffic noise. Many, many semi-trucks go by early morning. Plus, in the summer it’s nice to sleep with the windows open because there is no air-conditioning, but there again you have the highway traffic noise.

Very comfortable condo

This is an excellent alternative to a hotel room for about the same price. My only problem was in finding the property and getting the keys late at night. The instructions were very poor for someone who had never been in Keystone before. But once checked in, everything else was wonderful.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

It was fun to also visit Lake Dillon, Breckenridge, Frisco and Vail which have more things to do than Keystone. I would highly recommend driving up Mt. Evans on the way back to Denver. The views are amazing and it is the only place you can see mountain sheep. The Sunshine Cafe in Dillon has the best breakfasts and lunches in the area with easy access from Keystone. The hiking along Lake Dillon was wonderful as was the scenic drive up to Loveland Pass.
