My favorite hotel chain.
I again stayed at the Embassy Suites On The River in Des Moines on a yearly business trip. I was late for breakfast and a very nice lady named "Maria’ offered me banana bread and even offered to go to the kitchen and bring me fruit. She helped me get coffee and cleaned off a table next to the television. She was trying to get all the stations cleaned up and still took time to help me without my asking. I was very grateful and impressed. All during this, she had the most contagious smile. It was a great start of a day.

Non-Smokers in a Smoking Room
The hotel was very, very nice. The issue was we requested a non-smoking room when we made our reservation in April. However, the stench of smoke was so terrible, I could barely stand it. I guess I could have complained, but I am not like that. In addition, I believe the hotel was fully booked that night. There was a big event downtown

Perfect
This hotel is on an excellent location close to the river, perfect if you are going to a concert at the amphitheater. It is a beautiful hotel with great rooms and amenities.
