not bad....a decent value. pool was great!

Clean enough but not an updated hotel. It was fine for what we needed. A Clean place to stay and refuel while we enjoyed all the attractions in the area. Continental breakfast was a nice perk and the pool was great. Not a scenic hotel but convenient enough. Don’t look for anything fancy, posh or new...just basic necessities. Loved the 2 bathrooms in the room with 3 double beds. It was comfortable enough especially traveling with 4 children (2 of them teenage girls) at an affordable price.

very clean , only a few miles from the niagara state park , nice pool , staff friendly and well prepared ,reasonable rates, not a congested area , but witin a few miles of all kinds of stores and malls , will definetly stay again and hope my stay is another pleasant one

Had a good time

The front desk people were real friendly and helpful.The only problem was the bathroom was alittle dirty and the water line to the toilet leaked.The price of the room was good.

The Lockport Locks were close along with the falls and the casino.Recomend doing the Cave of Wind at the falls.There is a bar behind the hotel that was cool, and a bowling alley close by.

Breakfast my a**!

Complimentary breakfast was supposed to be included. Well, it wasn’t! Dude at the desk said complimentary meant he could provide it if he wanted to. He said this to my Wife and her mother who are both German assuming they wouldn’t understand him. He was wrong there. My wife then got me and suddenly he was very cooperative. I told him where he could stick the complementary breakfast.

Go to any one of the other hotels in the area but avoid this one. The men we dealt with were extremely rude.

Donot want to go back

The bed was torn at side, some towels were torn as well. The size of the room was good though. The breakfast was pathetic.

Be careful - the orange juice had more water than juice, there was no place to sit in breakfast room. We had to carry back the juice/bagel to our room to seat while eating.

Nothing special

Decent place. Overcharged us for "extra adults" when we only had 4 ppl in there. Probably wouldn’t go back.

Not Impressed

Late at night, after unpacking our belongings, and installing ourselves in our hotel room,we found a disgusting blood stain under the sheets of the bed. Upon informing the desk attendant, he showed ittle interest, and vaguely told us housekeeping would take care of it in the morning. After we insisted on some action taken on his part, he offered us another room. As we had already unpacked, we decided to stay in our room. We then had to ask for sheets so we could change them ourselves, and the desk attendant didn’t even offer to assist us in anyway, and didn’t find it necessary to apologize. This just goes on to show their huge lack of customer service.

Overall we had a pleasant stay @ this hotel...the staff were friendly & very helpful.. the rooms need a little facelift, but felt that they were clean rooms...approx. 10 minute drive to the Falls...easy access to the free transit system..close enough to enjoy the casino & falls, but far enough away to enjoy a little peace & quiet...definitely recommend this hotel...

Clean - Comfortable affordable

We booked really late and almost all the hotels close to the falls were taken. But that was ok since we had a car and there is lot of parking available close to the falls. The area looks safe. The rooms are all single house type units with attached bath. Beds are comfortable, car can be parked outside your room window where you can keep a eye on it. Close to number of eat out’s. Has wifi and speed was good...The front desk people are helpful...Rooms look slightly old and sized similar to guest bedrooms in apartments. Bathrooms were clean. We wanted to rest and refresh, it fitted our requirement perfectly........Will recommend.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you have a car, look for cheaper options 5-10 mile radius for hotels. Dont jump to the walking distance to the falls temptation, since you cant see the falls from the US side hotels anyway. Dont miss the JetBoat rides 10 miles from the falls.

Rodeway Inn & Suites Niagara Falls

The Castle Motor Inn is now Rodeway Inn & Suites Niagara Falls We arrived @ 10:30 pm. The outside looked bright and adequate for a motel. We stayed in room 114. The clothing rack was dusty & dirty. Checked the dresser drawers, all had dust, and stains inside each drawer. The room looked and smelled like there had been water damage. The bottom of the dressers was laminating from water damage. The room smelled of cheap perfume and musty. There were flies (4) in the room in and out of the bathroom all night. The bed was not comfortable (I only hope the were clean linins not really sure). The bathroom was bright. It looked like it had been recently renovated. The floors were dusty and had human hairs in the corners. Commode and sink were ok. Tub show dirt in the corners and 2 spiders. There were 2 small bath towels and 2 face cloths. They were very thin and rough. Bounty paper towels would have been much better and softer. We did not even take a showers; we brushed and threw cold water on out faces and could not wait to get out of there.

Not a 3 star hotel

One of the reasons we chose this motel was that it had averaged 3 stars. This was by no means a 3 star motel. Although the room looked more recently remodeled, it was done poorly. The bathroom was in poor condition. The door trim was falling off, not a secure feeling. A definite stale smell in the room. No clock even though the room amenities card touted "alarm clocks in every room". Management said some were missing and we could have a wake up call. Parking lot and pool were new, but we did not swim. The bed was comfortable, so if you only care about sleeping and swimming, it might do for you, but we won’t stay there again.

It’s my first time to have a road trip with my family. Living in a motel like this one has been nice. My mom enjoyed the pool; and we all enjoyed the comfort and convenience of the motel and the surroundings.

Service was Great!... I was there for Business trip and the price i paid for was unbeatable plus the Staff were wonderful. Rooms were CLEAN!!...NEW pool was great. Breakfast was Amazing & Fresh....It was a great stay!!!

Good price and rooms, but had a problem - fleas

We stayed 2 days. I booked at this hotel because i read the recent reviews on expedia.com. All were good comments and it looked like their reputation was going up compares to revies from last year. Our stay would have been perfect except for the fleas experienced in one of the beds of one of our rooms. However, I have to say that the manager did move us to a different room the next day and we did see the furniture/mattress being replaced the next day. I was hoping for a refund for one days rent or atleast some sort of compensation - but none was offered. I just want the review to reflect that while they are trying to turn arround the hotel, they are taking shortcuts.

You get what you pay for ...

Its exactly what you can expect from a small motel - quiet, pretty clean, good service. The guy at the front desk was really helpfull. I was at Niagara Falls only for one night thats why I needed something cheap where I can sleep for a few hours and I think that was a good choice. If you need comfort, you are staying for a longer time or you spend a lot of time in your room thats definatelly not the place for you.

Decent

I stayed for 2 nights, and it was pretty decent. Everything was clean and nice. The people were helpful and cordial. Im planning to go to see The Falls again sometime soon and I’ll probably stay with them again.

Last minute reservation

With one week left prior to departing for our vacation to Niagra Falls we were contacted by Expedia letting us know previously booked hotel had a fire and we had to rebook. Not alot available for the week of July 4th.As a last resort we choose The Castle Inn. The service was very good and hotel staff were very friendly. The room was clean yet had a stale air smell. The beds were a 3 on a scale of 1-5. The outdoor pool my 8 yr old daughter enjoyed and was in very good condition. Having the microwave and refridgerator in the room was an added bonus. Overall for the price paid and last minute holiday reservation we were very pleased.

It’s good for budgeted trip

Hotel room is small and bed sheets are not that great. Location is prefect. Close to Niagara Falls. If you need just a place to sleep, then it is fine. But if you want some comfort, this definitely is not the place for you

Great Place in Niagra

We had two rooms due to the size of our party, the rooms were clean, and looked newly remodeled, the pool was great, the only thing was the water was cold but the weather was cold the day we were there, so it was expected. It was not far from the Falls. Loved that the rooms have microwave and refridgerator, and that there was a grill by the pool. Next time we go to Niagra Falls we will definately stay at this hotel.

OK place to stay

The hotel room was clean and even the bathroom, but it was very very small, with a suitcase there was no room to even stand. The AC made a lot of noise, but all in all it was a better deal for the price offered.
