Low on staff?
Perhaps given the price, the hotel was quite ok. The room was quite nice, but the a.c. unit was old and noisy. They didn’t seem to have enough staff to unlock the swimming pool gate on time, both days I was there. And the "cardio center" was pretty minimal.

Nice setting but needs some work
The Ayres Suites Diamond Bar is a beautiful setting next to a golf course and the hotel itself is generally well maintained. However, the weekend we stayed there in July 2009, the second floor hallway had a terrible musty smell. The room itself was fine.

best hotel in Diamond Bar
This was actually our second stay at this hotel in a couple of months. We were so pleased with the service and cleanliness that we decided to stay again. The staff was very courteous and helpful and our rooms were clean. Only complaint: we enjoy sleeping in while on vacation and we missed the complimentary breakfast both times as it’s over by 9am. But I would still stay again.
