Beautiful lobby
This is a gorgeous older hotel. Our room was not large or modern, but very comfortable and we got a great price. Be aware that parking is in a nearby city lot. It is $20/day with no in/out privileges, so you may end up paying $25 or more depending on how often you use your car.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Be sure to visit Calgary Tower right next door to the hotel, and take the short walk to Olympic Plaza (at the corner of Macleod Tr. and 7 Ave S), a lovely park with a fountain and artwork, which was the site of many of the medal presentations for the 1988 Olympics.
