Fine location....helpful staff.
Location is superb. Two bus lines are literally steps away. There were a few maint. issues, but friendly staff dealt with them well. My luggage was lost for most of the trip, and staff was very helpful on that issue. Reasonable price with people who are professional and personable. Recommended.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Get a "Lisboa" metro card at Information kiosks. Dont get a multi-day combo card for museum discounts and travel unless you really plan to use it. Metro card might be all you need. Superb transportation system. Eat at cafes-food is good and reasonably priced.

Underwhelming Hotel
Doesnt take much to satisfy me - and this place didnt. Very tight room, barely able to move around. Bathroom fixtures needing repair (shower). Room smelled like cigarette smoke even though the facility is a smokeless hotel. The smell must be in the walls, curtains, carpet. Located at the end of bus line - but coming back from city center may take 45 minutes as the bus route seems to go everywhere befoe your stop. The location has few restaurants or other shops within walking distance. A positive is that the continental breakfast was satisfying, but no variety for the duration of my 4 day stay. Found Lisbon to be very scenic - similar to Rome. Lots of fountains, piazzas, and monuments. Enjoyable trip - except for this hotel.
Traveler's tip
Take a cab. Lisbon is relatively inexpensive compared to other European cities. Cap ride from city center to the airport was 7 Euros. Pay that instead of trying to save 3 Euros by using the shuttle bus that stops every few minutes enroute.

I can recommend it!
Inexpensive; great location (the Gomes Freire bus line has its last stop right outside the lobby and takes you downtown); cab from/to the airport should be around $10 (if you pay $15 you got ripped off); good breakfast buffet; quiet
