Our favorite spot on Longoat Key
Wife and I have been vacationing at Silver Sands for over thirty years. Obviously, we like the place and Longboat Key. It is now better then ever! ResortQuest is doing an excellent job of maintaining the place.
If you have children, ask for a poolside room. If you prefer quiet, ask for a Garden view room. For quiet and the best view, ask for a Gulf front room.

Pleasant, relaxing atmosphere
We were impressed by the maintenance and service. The gardens were careully tended, the pool area kept clean and inviting. Inflatable floats were available for children, and styrofoam rods for adult water exercise. The daily room service was fast and effective, and any minor problems dealt with immediately. And the beach is truly spectacular.

Bicycles are readily available for rent nearby, and there is an excellent carry-out conveniently close.

Small but Good
The location and value were great. The place was neat and clean. It was located on the beach and North of the beach front high rise area which was great for us. The "standard, single" room was small and had no chairs, luggage stands or other place to put luggage. The small refrig and microwave saved us a lot versus eating at expensive local restaurants.
Traveler's tip on shopping
The "Publix" store located 4 miles to the South was great for inexpensive food and supplies.
