It was nice
We liked the hotel - we were there on our honeymoon - the hotel was beautiful but my husband said he had read it was a retriement destination. Beautiful views - though not from our room as we faced the amusement park.

View of the Bay
Photos of the Hotel did not include the Amusement park right next door. We were assigned a room with that horrible view. But just a phone call down to reception and we were re-assigned a lovely view of the courtyard. While this hotel is a little dated, we had a wonderful time. It appeared to be a favorite of Irelands locals, and they would know whats best when it came to their own country! So while it is a little of a walk from the City center, the view of Galway Bay more than makes up for the walk!!! We will stay here again and again!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Galways City Center has loads of great places to eat, drink and be merry!!! It also appears to be less spoiled by tourism, then Dublin and Cork. And don miss the River Corrib. While the Ocean views of via the Bay are wonderful. The river is sooo, relaxing and we hear the fishing is great!
