Not what I expected
Last minute we were goign to change hotels, but decided to stay with this hotel because of all the good reviews on trip advisor. I wish we had changed. When we arrived at the hotel, our room was not ready. Andre at the front desk offered us a bottle of wine to compensate which was very nice. We went to our hotel room - it was clean and a decent size. The second day we were there, my husband and I woke up to find that the toilet was NOT working. We called downstairs and Andre said that he would call the plumber. The plumber came pretty quickly and started fixing away. It was very disgusting to see that he was cleaning the supplies in the sink. It was resolved. And the fact that Andre gave us a free bottle of wine on our fist night, we took it easy on him instead of being extremely frustrated. Do not bring water or food from outside because they do check the rooms and will charge you. We hid our drinks. Also, if you have food, be prepared to have little ants. The hotel is at a great location, beach is right there! I would not recommend this hotel. Andre was nice, but it was still not what we were looking for.
Traveler's tip
Rent a boat - very fun! Eat at Lido Azzuro a couple steps from the hotel - DELIC! Also, get the sea view rooms because they have AC where as the others dont!

ok...
Pleasant staff. Decent room. Nice town. Pretty beaches. Its a little strange that they dont let you bring food into the room, and although theres a mini-fridge, you cant put anything in there buy their (really expensive) drinks. Breakfast is great out on the veranda- good coffee!! Overall- good, not great. If youre going in low season, you could probably find a place for less along the coast just by showing up, and looking for signs for "camere" or rooms.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you just want a cheap place to stay, and dont care about luxury- look into camping villages. Most have bungalows or mobile homes to rent with kitchens, bathrooms. We stayed in one in Sorrento- gorgeous private "beach" (its a big solid rock on the water). They can be really nice and very inexpensive!

Location, Location, Location
The Auroras location is wonderful, overlooking the harbor and a short walk into the main part of town. The hotel is immaculate! The staff extremely helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast provided was a great way to start the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!
