Good Value
The hotel staff was curtious, friendly, and helpful. The Hotel was very clean for an older establishment. The casino was small and smokey with a limited selection of slots, but the 2 dollar black jack was nice. The food was OK if you like diner food.(limited selection, mostly burgers and deep fried). There was also a small restaurant there with limited hours, but I didn’t eat there. They gave you a coupon book each day that also saved you a bit of money. All in all, not bad for the price.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
This hotel is about one mile from downtown Reno. Expect to rent a car, take a bus, or walk. This hotel is not in a nice part of town, unless you like strip clubs and tatoo parlors. They do have a shuttle that will take you to and from the airport.

Great off the strip
Got a room on a high floor, extended stay so they brought me a little refridge. Maid service was EXCELLENT. Room was spotless daily.

Laundry room and good work out room on 2nd floor. Very good for longer stay.

Nice Hotel - Nicer People
The hotel is not a good part of Reno at all... It was kind of scary. The hotel was in good shape for being older. The food at the restaurant was not very good. The people working at this hotel were extremely nice and helpful. They allowed us to stay past our check out time for a minimal fee. When we go to Burning Man next year we are staying there again.
