Worth it!
My partner and I stayed here for a couple of days in a junior suite for the first time in mid-October. The staff were wonderful and the service was really great. We didnt hesitate to book back into the Victoria Regia on our return from a couple of days of meetings in Lima. Second time around, we were upgraded to a full suite that was excellent, quiet and comparable to a good quality hotel anywhere we have stayed in the world. I accidentally (yes... and stupidly lol) left my credit card in the ATM in the hotel lobby and it was returned to me by hotel staff shortly afterwards. Iquitos is one of the most incredible places I have ever visited in my life and this hotel was a big part of making us feel welcomed, safe and amazed in the middle of an adventure in the Amazon. We will return as soon as we possibly can!
Some of the restaurants included in the guidebook I used were the least interesting or pleasing dining in Iquitos. There are many small restaurants, ice cream and other food places which are great for coffee stops and meals. Try the fancy floating restaurant for the experience, the quiet away from the city and the food. For the best roasted chicken anywhere make the effort to find Panda Chicken! A little of the local liquid yogurt each day, try the nucuma flavor, will help keep your digestion on a even keel!

Great stay
Good location, within walking distance of the plaza, shops and restaurants. Internet cafe right across the street. Friendly customer service. I also stayed at their jungle lodge for a couple of nights which was wonderful. The hotel is being renovated/updated. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Just Ok
The customer service at the front desk was a little rude, and the back rooms are very small compared to the rooms at the front of the hotel.
