Worth the $$$ and Excellent Location
Resort was about 11 miles East of Gatlinburg which was a perfect location. It was far enough away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge that you truely had a Smokey Mountain experience. The resort sat on top of a ridge and had an excellent view. The upkeep of the resort is great. It is an older resort, but maintained very well. Had a lot of ammenities suitable for kids. It was definately worth the money. I highly recommend this place for a true Smokey Mountain experience.

Best experience in the Smokeys
Our stay at the Deer Ridge couldn’t have been better - in fact my husband was talking about returning just last night. The resort was great, but the staff was THE BEST -always ready to give advice or direct us somewhere - sometimes using the local backroads. You couldn’t ask for a better view of the colors in the mountains. I wish we had planned to stay longer! And it was a absolutely great value - we used the kitchen and only ate out once in three days.
Don’t be afraid of the drive up to the resort !! This is Gatlinburg as it should be. Park at the Community Complex and take the Trolley into Gatlinburg - they are very efficient.

Beautiful Condo On Top of the Mountain.
Jcuzi, Sauna, and Pool were wonderful. This is a condo type resort that rents by the day and week. If you want a place that is away from Gatlinburg but still in the area this is it.
