Majestic hotel

The hotel is beautiful. We stayed there our last three nights in Scotland and the proximity to the airport made it easy the morning we flew home. The location is a quick 20 minute trip into Glasgow, and convenient for side trips to Sterling and Lock Lomond. We reserved a deluxe room in the main building. The room was beautiful. We had a kingsize bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious. The concierge and front desk were friendly and helpful. We arrived there to check in at around 5 pm. We wanted to eat in the dining room, but there were no reservations available. We were able to order food in the bar/lounge and it was delicious, but if you are looking for a full meal you might want to make a reservation in advance.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

We drove up to Loch Lomond. We took a one hour cruise on the loch which left from Balloch. After the cruise we had an early dinner at the Balloch House Hotel, which is just over a little bridge from the dock. The food was quite good, and the pub has an interesting history.
