Ok for a cheap place

The hotel was ok for a cheap place to stay. The room was very small, nowhere to really put your bags that you wouldn’t trip over them. The beds were hard as rock with very flat pillows. The wireless internet signal didn’t work above the second floor, we were on the fifth, and the hard wired service in the lobby didn’t work half the time. Breakfast was extra for us and not worth it at all. Unless you go to breakfast before 9am don’t count on getting anything to eat and if there is food good luck with any sort of dish to eat or drink out of or with.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

One plus is the metro stop is only a minute walk away, literally. It only took about ten to fifteen minutes to get to any major attraction in the city. The metro system is really easy and runs pretty late. If you don’t get some sort of unlimited use pass I would recommend buying a book of ten tickets at a time. Once you go in with a ticket it won’t work to get you back in no matter if it has been less than the 90min it’s valid for.

Budget at a Good Location...

This is definetly a Budget Hotel but the people are easy to speak with and helpful. There was only 1 Electrical Outlet so keeping items charged was interesting.. The advantage of this Hotel is the few steps it takes to get to the Metro as well as the base of the ’Basilique Sacré-Coeur’.. The Moulin Rouge is a short walk (or 2 metro stops) but advised to be careful at night due to the neighborhood in that direction...

Somewhat OK

Regardless very nice staff and good situation hotel management does not pay enough attention towards simple cleaning (dust in wardrobe, smelly and molded luggage rooms) and maintenance (broken shower doors). Nevertheless, staff reacted immediately to solve such situations. I know for the price paid you can ask much but regular cleanliness could be improved.

Good student hostel, two star hotel? No way.

Great location very near the Anvers metro stop and with walking distance of the Sacre Coeur Cathedral. As a two star hotel, though...that’s a stretch. Clean. Very small room and very small private bath, use of everything in which is very awkward. Still if your on a budget and want to stay in the City, it would be OK (barely).

La Coupole is a great place to eat!

Not a place for peaceful rest

This not a place for travellers who want quiet rest at night. It is located in an area with busy nightlife. Room was bare even by Paris tourist standards.

Great Budget Hotel

This was a great bargain room. Couldn’t really give it 5’s because it wasn’t excellent but it came close. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and linens were clean. The carpet was worn. The location was very convenient to Metro and Gard du Nord. The shower was hot and plentiful even after 3 people using it. I would definately go back.

Bargain hotel in great location

The best thing about the hotel is its location since it is within 15 minute walk of Gare du Nord (Main train station to airport) and a few minutes from two lines of the Paris metro. The area also has some decent nearby cafes and the Montmartre neighborhood is very photo friendly. The hotel itself is not luxurious but I found it adequate for the price. While there was some water damage in the bathroom, the shower was hot and offered incredible water pressure. The linens were clean and beds were comfortable. On the downside, the room was very tiny, the decor was dated, the TV was small and offered only 6 channels, but we were only in the room for sleeping so it was fine. I would be cautious to stay there in the summer since the rooms are not air conditioned and it was possible to hear the traffic from the busy road even with the windows closed. The staff spoke English very well and were helpful. All in all, I would stay there again.

Traveler's tip

We found it easier to walk to Gare du Nord when departing for the airport since it was difficult to navigate the crowds, turnstyles, and stairs in the metro stops with our luggage. It was a brisk 15 minute walk. The hotel also offered a shuttle for about double what the metro costs.

Best location to view Montmartre

The location is very nice: metro station only 50 meters, Montmartre foot and funicular only 200 meters. Staff was very nice and helpful. Parking for car just close to metro station, only one thing you should bear in your mind: parking entrance height is 1,9 meters, so if you have a SUV, might be a problem. Overall my impression is good! Clean and nice 2-star hotel for reasonable price. We were in Paris when it was very cold there, but in our room was warm and tidy. Breakfast is not impressed but wouldn’t let your remain hungry

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Enjoy Montmartre: it worth! Just short walk from the hotel and you will there! Nice and French-style restaurant is nearby

Economical stay in Paris

The room was very small and the bathroom was considerably congested, but it was clean and service was satisfying. The hotel is far from the main tourist spots in Paris, but as it is close to the Metro, getting to all the tourist areas was not a problem. If you want an economical stay in Paris - this was a good deal.

Good for the money spent

The room was small and uninteresting, but the staff was friendly and it was appropriate for the money spent. It meet my expectations but did not exceed them.

Good, no frills hotel

Convenient location to metro. Allows one to store baggage during day until room is ready - very traveler friendly. I asked for quiet room on the courtyard and got it. Generous breakfast available and included in room charge. Helpful desk personnel. Would recommend hotel.

Great Location - Not Much Else

The best thing that can be said about this hotel is that it’s steps from a metro stop, in Montmartre, and close to Gare du Nord. But so are several other hotels in this price range and even cheaper. The very nice guys at the front desk didn’t make up for the attic room with no windows (just two small skylights), plus a bathroom with no counter. And when we asked if we could check our bags at the train station - which we needed to do - one insisted that we could not, but didn’t call to verify. Turns out we could.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If you’re coming in from the airport late at night on the RER train at the Garde du Nord, look for a hotel within walking distance or even right across the street from the train station. The area around Garde du Nord is pretty decent.

Good base camp for Paris’ adventures

A perfect base camp for a visit to Paris! Just a five minutes walk from Paris’ main station Gare du Nord and 50 metres from Metro station Anvers. Small but clean rooms.

Comfortable, convenient place to stay

This hotel is very conveniently located-- literally across the street from the Anvers metro station. Our room was tiny, but not unusually tiny for Europe, and it was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was surprisingly modern, and very clean. It was also very convenient to have breakfast in the morning-- it saved us both money and time. The hotel also has a locked baggage closet you can use at check-in if your room isn’t ready and another one you can use after check-out if you need a place to store your luggage for the day. Staff was helpful and spoke English well.

Not bad

The rooms area a bit small, and you have to ask for one of the 3 rooms that actually ahve a view of Sacre Couer, but it was good....
