I wouldn’t stay there again.
I definitely wouldn’t call this the worst hotel I have been in, but for me it’s surely one of the worst 3-star hotels I have ever visited. Very small rooms, a microscopic sink in the bathroom, small bed, the lack of air conditioning on the top floor made it too hot even in the middle of May, which means definitely unbearable in summer, walking on the floor in the corridors produces loud noise, the paid internet (reasonable prices for the internet, I admit) is available only in the lobby area and, as they say, in parts of the first 2 floors, but definitely no further. The night receptionist smoking in the reception area, was just the final touch to the negative impression. On the other hand, the location of Hotel de Paris is very good and the breakfast they serve is decent. But anyway - too few positive things to remember.

old but nice
if your coming to amsterdam to stay in your room, dont stay here, its old but in a nice way, very antique looking and feeling, nice staff, always helpful, good breakfast, comfy beds, tho very small, nice clean bathroom, modern. plenty of space in our room, close to everything, and still quiet at night, we love this hotel, and will go back every year as planned!

Solid place in great location
Friendly, extremely helpful staff. VERY small rooms, but perfect for solo travelers. I was by myself for 2 nights and this place was perfect. Very clean, and you can’t beat the location. Safe neighborhood, 1 min walk to Leidsplein and about 15-20 min walk to red light district. I would stay again.
