Very Satisfied

We just happened to get the room at a fantastic price, and was not expecting what we got, but it’s a good thing. We got a room with a fireplace, and that just added to the atmosphere of the mini-vacation. Proximity to stores was nice, although the Kroger’s was a tad more expensive than what we are used to, but it’s a major metropolitan area, so what do you expect? Staff was very accommodating, and the room service did the dishes for us! There is an option for them to do your shopping for you, and that was unexpected as well. There were a few concerns as well, so it’s not all roses and cherries. With me being from the South, I love my fried foods and there was no deep fryer. It is understandable though, fire hazard and all, but they should make a mention of that while claiming it is a "full kitchen". The oven door caught on the fridge when I tried to open it, and that was due to the fridge being against the wall, and not able to push it back any more. Two burners on the (electric) stove were uneven, and in order to cook anything on those you had to stand there and hold the pan the entire time. The book inside the room said the first firelog was free, and then $2.50 after that, but they were $5. Those are minor concerns compared to some other places we have stayed. Highly recommended and we would stay again in the future!

Be prepared to spend some extra cash whether at the store or in the nightlife. A half-loaf of Jewish Rye Bread cost about $3.50 (or so) but at home a full loaf was $3! Also, at the bar (won’t name it) the beverage of my choice (won’t name it either) was at least another $1 more expensive as well.

Will not be coming back...

We’ve stayed at other Residence Inn many times and are usually very satisfied but this particular one is an exception. This hotel isn’t like the typical Residence Inn with the lobby on the 1st floor and the rooms in the same building. It is more like a group of apartment buildings. I would not recommend this hotel especially for people bringing little kids. You can hear everything from slamming doors to footsteps going up and down the stairs in front of the room. The noise level is a 5 on a scale of 1-5. The security is also questionable as anyone can get to the rooms without walking through the lobby. We stayed on the 1st flr and there was a group of teenagers hanging out, laughing loudly, and running around in front of our room window at night that made us very uncomfortable. We usually did our research and at least looked at the hotel pictures before making any reservation but we made a mistake this time by assuming that all Residence Inn hotels are the same. We won’t be coming back to this hotel.
