Was a good experience
Being new to the area, it was easy to find, and in a good location. The motel had many good amenities. The staff was more than willing to accomodate me when I asked if I could check in early and later I needed to stay and extra 2 nights because of housing arrangements. Many local shopping areas and restaurants were within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Just what you’d expect for an extended-stay hotel. Walking distance to retaurants. Staff friendly.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Take the Alaska Railroad to Whittier and then do the 26 Glacier Cruise. Wonderful!!

Disappointment
We were moving to Anchorage from Seattle with our two small kids and dog. We chose Extended Stay because they have two room suites and accept pets. However, we had a terrible experience. We were shown to two dirty rooms (unmade beds, towels on the floor) before we finally got one that was clean. This meant trudging up and down the hallways with 10 suitcases, a dog kennel and two little kids as we kept going back to the counter to try again. There was no promised DVD player in our final room, so we tried to call the front desk but the phones didn’t work either. We had to walk down and ask for one. By the next morning we had working phones and a DVD player but never an apology, smile or bit of courtesy from anyone on the staff. When we checked out as fast as we could the next afternoon we were charged for an extra night because we left an hour after the checkout time. We won’t be back.
