Cute Hotel on the outskirts of Berlin
It was nice to be able to visit the busy city and then come back to a comfortable, home-like setting in a small quiet area.

Great hotel.. fabulous room.. avoid the restaurant!
Stayed there for 3 nights at the beginning of November. Booked a room for 3 but when we arrived we were given a room with one double bed - quick word to reception and it was sorted within minutes. Room was clean, free bottles of water in the fridge. CNN was the only English TV channel but then most people dont stay in a hotel to watch TV. Not much in the way of dining options in the area - avoid the hotel restaurant, very expensive and terrible food! Transport system in the area is amazing and if you ask at the reception theyll supply a railmap and let you know what buses to take. Overall, excellent hotel. Particularly the breakfast!

The hotel is a bit of a drive from Tegel or the Spandau station, but taxis are readily available. Additionally, you can use the local bus service to get to both the airport and the train station. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable but if you want a romantic stay remember the double beds are two single beds pushed together. The bathroom is large and bright. I enjoyed the free mineral water in the refrigerator. LAN is available free but you must request a room with internet connections, and bring a LAN cable or ask for one from the front desk, no wireless. Fitness center/pool/sauna is free if you are a guest at the hotel. Best fitness center I have ever visited. The pool was a perfect warm temperature for relaxing after a long flight. They offer aqua classes and all you have to do is join in. As a hotel guest you have access to two towels and a bathrobe, which come in handy in the Sauna area. I recommend that you bring some flip-flops. Your wrist sensor can be used to purchase drinks and snacks. The Sauna is to die for. I was in heaven. Six different types of rooms: 90-degree C sauna, 60-degree C sauna, steam room, two different aromatic rooms, ice room and plunge pool. It is customary that remove your swimsuit, but if you are shy you can keep your towel on. I love staying at Centrovital, because it has a small city charm that is lacking in central Berlin. You can access downtown using the S-bahn or U-bahn.
Traveler's tip on dining
The restaurant on the main floor at the hotel is good, but for a taste of Spandau you really need to leave the hotel. It is a nice walk (10min) left from the main street towards the train station. The Spandau Brewery was fun, but you really have to like pork. If you cross the river you arrive at the main action of Spandau. Look at the menu on the door if you are not sure what to eat, but some German is required.
