Stayed here on vacation. Across road, great BBQ place! Only complaint, it is a 2- story hotel with a wooden outside walkway. When guests walk around on the walkway, or kids run, it gets noisy. But overall... close to LL Bean, can’t be beat !

Great Value

I have rated this hotel a 4 because it was far superior to most economy type places that I’ve stayed. Check-in was easy, the clerk was friendly, room was more than adeqate, and the price was most reasonable. Easy access to and from the Interstate. Not noisy, and had all the basics. Close to Freeport. One negative. There was no vending machine for snacks.

Clean place to sleep near LLBean, not much more.

We visit Maine about every other year, so I have stayed at a couple of places, all within a couple of miles of Freeport Shopping. This hotel is Adequate. Clean enough, modern enough, OK continental breakfast. Great Staff. We generally stay at the peak of tourist season, so I understand there will be no bargains when visiting a destination such as this, but as hotel rooms go, I am not rushing back to this one. No pool, the parking lot had lots of broken furniture in it, Trashy in that way.

Close to the road, but was quiet. I booked two rooms for our stay. Both rooms and linens were clean and inviting.

A real find

No frills. Clean and comfortable; pleasant personnel; great price. Loved that a non-smoking room was not a problem. Often in that area, and plan to stay here every time.

As my mother is unable to climb stairs, the desk clerk moved my parents to a ground floor room with a king bed. they were very happy. my sister and i had a room on the 2nd floor. Our initial room had a burnt plastic/gas smell. We were immediately moved to a new room that was very nice. The general manager was extremly kind and thoughtful. we always had enough towels and the room was kept clean and tidy each day while we were out shopping. The hotel is centrally located between a great restaurant for breakfast/lunch and the downtown area for shopping. As my sister, mother and i are quilters, the quilt shop next door to the hotel was convenient and offered great selection. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful and we will probably stay there again on our visit to Freeport.

Downtown Freeport is only a couple miles away. Very convenient. Lots of outlets to choose from! I would not suggest going to the Desert of Maine, it seemed expensive for the admission to see sand that we could see for free on the beaches!!

Easy convenient location, clean room

Staff was very friendly, hotel is right at the bottom of Main St in Freeport off the highway so a good spot to start your day of shopping (and easy.) The room was comfortable and clean, the only thing I would have liked was a few more feet of space in the width of the room. Other than that, it really was great for the price. Clean, neat, convenient. What else do you need?

We were simply looking for the best deal for a quick overnight in Freeport and I do think we found it. Perfectly clean and easy for the best price we found. I’d definitely stay there again.

We chose this hotel because it was pet-friendly. It was fine for a 2 star hotel, we had no complaints. Nothing fancy, and just what we were looking for prior to our 12 day vacation camping in a tent!

Low cost but great service

This motel is close to Freeport and Portland. Staff were friendly and upbeat. This is the second time I have stayed there and had a good experience.

As expected for the price

Desk staff was friendly, room was clean and the beds were very comfortable! Good location and quiet at night. Free continental self serve breakfast was a plus but fresh fruit would have sealed the deal. Computer access in the checkin area but the printer was out of ink the entire 4 days. Would consider returning again.

Good Choice

Our room at the Econolodge of Freeport, Maine, was clean and well-maintained, although the towels were a little thin and the bed not as firm as I prefer. Depending on cost, I would certainly consider staying there again on a future trip to Freeport. While we did not eat breakfast at the motel, the breakfast selection was quite impressive, and many motel guests were enjoying the food.

Better Than Expected.

This Econo Lodge was better than expected. It was well taken care of!

Decent hotel, clean and comfortable

Decent hotel, clean and comfortable. No hairdryers in the room, no small refrigerators either but the hotel was more than happy to let us borrow a hairdryer and iron. Ample continental breakfast every morning.

Good location, rooms were clean. Sink fixtures were loose, other than that no issues.

I chose this EconoLodge for it’s location in Freeport and to the outlet shopping, especially LL Bean. It was convenient and inexpensive place to stay.

Friendly staff; limited continental breakfast; small room but clean and quiet; an older motel but it is fairly well maintained; no extras; very conveniently located near Freeport and interstate.

Great bargain

Needing just a clean, inexpensive place to spend the night, the freeport Econo Lodge fit the bill! It’s proximity to the shops and services of Freeport was perfect; the room was adequte for my needs and the breakfast offered was generous. I wasn’t looking for "frills" and, while I didn’t receive any, I was very satisfied with what I received ... a clean, comfortable and convenient place to spend the night in Freeport!
