Central location, but very small -- and no consistent hot water supply!
We stayed at the Uljiro for four days in August 2008. We appreciated the central location (smack in the middle of the Dongdaemun shopping area), but were a bit disappointed by the lack of space that the studios offer. Everything is there, but in a very small space. Others have talked about the bathroom and how wet everything gets when you take a shower, so I won’t comment any further on that. I would like to add though, that out of the four days that we stayed there, there was at best lukewarm water for two days.

Recommended!
This isn’t a hotel, it’s an apartment that can be rented for a few days. However it does provide a cleaning service and provide fresh towels etc. It’s not exactly 5star, but at the same time it served every purpose i needed it for. Great service and cheap. Great location. So if you’re just looking for a place to stay without the luxury, i would recommend.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
You’ll need your own shampoo. Convenience stores and shops are in surrounding area, so no problem. Walking distance to subway line 2, 4, and 5 so very easy to get around too!

Location is good
The location of this hotel is good if you are interested in shopping. It is very convenient to Dongdaemun shopping district. There are plenty of restaurants around the area. However, your room is no 5 star; it’s kind of like a dorm in college. It’s not very roomy, but you do have a stove and a microwave you plan to visit for long term. 5 minute walk to 3 metro lines. One word of advice, the taxi does not know where this Co-op is, so be sure to print the Hotel phone number if you are not fluent in Korean. It took us 3 hours to find our hotel after the bus ride into Seoul from the Airport. Also the address in expedia for this hotel is misspelled.
