Not worth the savings
We booked this hotel knowing that it was a little bit of a walk to the metro station and could save a bit. However, the hotel itself had a lot to be desired. The staff was unfriendly and not willing to help. The restaurant was closed with little options surrounding it (making the savings and walk not worth it). The breakfast offered no hot items as implied and the milk sat out to the point of being warm. The AC did not work and instead of fixing it while we were out - we had to ask again when we got back and were hot and tired (from the walk). The guide in the room was a poor quality single copy of paper with little helpful information. We had to ask all the time (but the staff did not want to help). I personally have run B&Bs several years and actually understand the business so Im not a complainer - but this hotel really did not offer much and in the future I would prefer to spend a little bit more for a hotel that provides for or is closer to basic needs.

It is an OK hotel.
This hotel is just ok. It is in the city outskirts but it has public transportation nearby. 5 Minutes walking distance to a bus stop and 25 to the metro. The rooms are basic but neat. There is wireless internet only in the lobby. Breakfast is the only thing that I was disappointed about. However this hotel is very good in terms of price/ conditions.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The best way to see the city is by getting around with public transportation. You can buy a day pass, a 3 day pass or a weekly pass that us valid for all city buses and metro.

Noisy
The hotel caters to bus tour groups. The buses come and go all through the night. Between the noise of the buses coming through and idling waiting for passengers and people outside waiting for the buses, the noise was unbearable.

Highly Recommended
The hotel rates were comparable to some of the other hotels we looked at, but the service was amazing. One of our group fell victim to a pick-pocket (Common in Rome - Beware) and the hotel staff were extremely helpful in allowing her to phone her banks and family, etc. Staff were knowledgeable of local services, and provided easily understood instructions on the local tansportation network and access to attractions in Rome
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
This hotel is a short walk from bus tranportation and access to the subway. Buy the 3 day mass transit ticket and use it for all your bus and subway transport to all of the attractions.

Good hotel but a bit distant to Rome city center
When we first arrived, the staff who checked us in was a bit rude. He seemed to make himself always too busy for us. But he was an exception, the rest of the staffs we met during our stay were fantastic and helpful. The breakfast had quite a lot of variety, but the quality of the breads was rather bad; but overall it was bearable. Otherwise nothing else to complain!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Get the 3 day pass for the Rome metro system for transportation. If you are planning to also go to other cities in Italy, do not eat Gelatos in Rome, they are WAY overpriced as compared to other Italian cities such as Venice and Florence.

The customer does not come first here
This hotel is quick to book its pool and restaurant for events and leave customers without those services. On our four night trip the pool was unavailable two days and the restaurant one. Rooms were small, even by European standards, the included breakfast was spartan at best and service was poor. Front dest personnel were rude on more than one occassion. They have no shuttle service into the city centre and do not offer a ride, even for a price, to the airport. We will not use this hotel in the future or recommend to friends.

Far above expectations
I was nervous about booking this hotel after I read more and more negative reviews, however we were very pleasantly surprised! It has a nice exterior, nice lobby, the staff all spoke english. Our room was great, the tub was very large and the water pressure on the shower was better than at home! The mattress was a lot more firm than we are used to but it was fine. It is not centrally located, our splurge for the whole trip was that we took a cab into town and back to the hotel every day. The conceirge was very good about calling us one each morning. Good food, and the free breakfast is far superior to American continental breakfasts. Only downside was that pictures and descriptions showed a nice body of water outside, but that was drained and its now a construction site.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Your cab fare should never be much more than 20 euros. We averaged 13-17 one way to downtown Rome from the hotel. If you are staying at this hotel, always tell the driver to take Via Cristoforo Columbo. That way you know you wont get ripped off. It only happened to us one time that the driver drove exceptionally fast, but instead of taking the straight shot, went all the way around, thus doubling our fare.
