Not so great....

I was really not happy at all with this hotel. On arrival, the clerk was very unfriendly and rude. Our room was not clean (our tub was full of sand!) and was was very shabby-- burn holes in the bedspread (non-smoking room), paint on the carpet, stains on the tile floor and bathtub and the phone in the bedroom did not work. After I reported these things only some of them were resolved. On the phone I was told, "Sorry, not going to happen". At breakfast I asked if they had any other falvor of yogurt and was told "nope" and then the server walked away. The next day their were 3 other flavors out. Really, how long would it take to check? And the muffins were frozen. Breakfast quality was low-- I had much better breakfast and Homewood Suites. i would not go back!

This hotel was centrally located and attractions were easily accessible. This hotel is in a quieter section of the city.

Nice little hotel...

Overall, the hotel was nice, clean, and had a friendly, helpful staff. The only issue I had was that the spa tub wasn’t working, which was a major reason I chose Country Inn. Otherwise, I was pretty pleased with the place.

Hotel had a great location to downtown areas. Help was great, but the room was dirty and the toilet did not flush properly. The air conditioning was also broken and loud. Need more?

the AC was so loud we had to shut it off to sleep the breakfast was good cute little pool facing the main road 1 block from the park - for kids its great 7 blocks or so to the old st Auguestine city not so close

getting the red trolly ride for $16.99 around the city was great fun they also pick you up at the hotel

Hallways are not air conditioned. Ice machine on 3rd floor did not work. Only 3 pillows for king bed. Traffic flow out of parking lot is awkward. Small pool is at front of property to the side and visible from passing traffic.

Would stay again

Very nice hotel. Very conveniently located in St. Augustine, extremely pleasant and helpful staff, room was clean and comfortable, plenty of parking. Buy the tickets for the Ripley’s shuttle, they come and pick you up at the hotel and bring you back. The tickets are very reasonable and are good for 3 days. The breakfast was great as well! Plenty of selection and a good amount of seating. The staff kept everything full, nothing seemed to run out. If we visit again, we will definetly stay here again!

Very pleasant stay.

the room was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We need a bus and they called and had one there right away. I loved the make-up remover cloths in the bathroom they work great. the front desk was happy to give more when asked. the breakfast was good and our son loved the waffles. We would stay there again and others around the country. Thank you for a great time.

When we arrived at the hotel in St. Augustine, the person at the front desk seemed busy. She made my husband (who was doing the actual check in)wait for fully 5 minutes until she was done doing what she had to do. Then she was very unpleasant to him, didn’t say thank you. We came back in about two hours, our room was ready, and she then seemed more pleasant. First impressions.

Relaxing Stay

Enjoyed this hotel very much. We have stayed at other Country Inn and Suites and this did not disappoint. Room was very clean, comfortable and staff was friendly and always available. The complimentary breakfast was ok and was always being refilled.

All the comforts of home. Too far to walk to "Old Town" though.

Decent place to stay

The staff was friendly. The cookies in the lobby was a nice touch. The room was in pretty good condition, but the carpet was kind of gross. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others.

Nice Weekend Getaway

Fresh baked cookies all day!!! Does it get any better then that? Hotel location was great! If you enjoy walking you can pretty much walk to all the attractions. I really don’t have much else to say...it was great hotel.

The hotel was is a perfect location. The cookies in the lobby were a very special touch.

Telephones didn’t work, bathroom floor wasn’t clean. The internet service was good. Carpets were dirty in the hallways.

DANK!!

Walking into our room we were greeted by a dank, musty smell. There was something funky going on w/ their AC. It only had one cycle- ON & blasting. The room was freezing and in spite of the AC’s blast- extremely humid and sticky. The AC was also so loud we had to turn it off to get some sleep. Even w/ it off- the room stayed cold. It was awful. The breakfast also left a lot to be desired. AND this hotel is NOT 5 minutes from downtown St. Aug- if you are wanting to walk. You need a car!

Very good for a brief stay for a good price.

We spend a couple of days in order to visit different places in San agustine and the hotel was fine mainly the attention in the front desk was very kind. The room was clean with a very good air conditioner. The continental breakfast was fine and save your time to go early and take advantage of it. The swimming pool is small but very clean and let you take a relaxing spa and a refreshing swim after a busy day visiting the interesting places on the old city. The sushi restaurant next to hotel is wanderfull and deserve your visit.

It’s an OK hotel

I could not see the bay, which the website stated. The staff was friendly. We did enjoy the breakfast buffet. Better than any other hotel I have visited. The bed was not comfortable at all.

Clean, pool, adequate parking, close to downtown, but not in downtown, close to the beach and dinning. Friendly personnel. I would stay again for the price.

Had conditioner, but no shampoo in the room. No cookies--as another reviewer stated--in the afternoon. Breakfast had few choices, but they were ok. Need another waffle iron--line too long. Nice people work there, but they looked tired. Parking was ok. It is located in a great place. Good for couples. Small pool. Three stationary bikes in exercise room. Not much else available. Overall, okay. Nothing to write home about.

Good idea to get the trolley pass to see the sites. Ripley’s Ghost Ride was pretty good, but a bit lame.

Not too bad

The only fault that we could find with the room is that the shower knob that you pull up to start the water to the showerhead was stuck and so until WE fixed that the 1st shower was not too good. The tub also drained very slow and so you stood in about 2 inches of water by the time you were finished showering. The hotel is relatively new and so it is in good shape. The continental breakfast was good and a money saver. Only improvement there would be another waffle machine; there’s only one, and it was busy often. The pool is located in the front of the hotel and is quite small. When more than 5 or 6 people get in you have to stake out your space. It is kind of like a pool on a cruise ship. Hotel staff was great if not a little directionally challenged. Not very good at giving directions but we found our way around. Fresh baked cookies at the front desk every afternoon. A nice treat after a day of site-seeing.

Use the Trolly service to go downtown and see the sites. They will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the trolly. This saves the agrivation of trying to find parking downtown and there is a charge for parking there too. And with gas prices today, let someone else do the driving!
