Very impressed

I was very impressed with the hotel. Very nice hotel and comfortable. Just needs to be a little easier to find in the somewhat-complicated Toledo street system. But a great city for a visit.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Within walking distance to the medieval city, of which you should get a good street map of, and maybe a compass, plus some good walking shoes. Good photo shots. Underground parking available at the hotel and a small convenience store was available within a few blocks of its same street address.

Toledo Eurostar

Hotel is nice. Do not stay on the 5th (top) floor in the summer. There was no air conditioning. Breakfast was chaotic with insufficient staff on duty. Location was further out than expected but taxi from the center of town is only 4 Euro. Don’t waste time with the bus.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The Cathedral is a ’must see’ and not religious at all; just a business and showplace now.

Great value for money

Contemporary, minimalist styling in location outside of the wonderful old town. Great view of old town to Alcazar & catedral from our room. A short taxi or bus ride but not always easy to get a taxis - the town needs more. Friendly & obliging staff. Tremendous value for money especially compared to Madrid & only 30 mins away via fast train. We stayed 3 nights.

Traveler's tip on dining

Great tapas bar in old town is La Abadia - wonderful variety of tapas & extremely reasonable prices. Local professional class especially frequent it - not tourists, but very friendly towards us despite our minimal Spanish. Also try the nearby Restaurant 24 for contemporary Spanish food - great style & reasonable prices - October 07

If you like newer establishments with nice amenities.

Although a little farther from the old town, it was extremely clean and efficient. The customer service was excellent. They let us keep our luggage there even AFTER we checked out so we could spend half the day in the historical section. It was in a quiet neighborhood and in certain areas of the hotel, you could have a great view of the hills and town. I wouldn’t recommend necessarily for those that have trouble walking farther distances or hate to cross traffic circles, but I would go back. I actually want to try their other hotels as well.

Clean modern hotel

This was a very nice, clean and modern hotel located about a ten minute walk from the bus station and a 15 minute walk from City center. Our room over looked the old city of Toledo...a beautiful view...but we had to make a special request for the view. The restaurant decor was very nice but we did not care much for the food. Service in Spain in general is not that which you find in the US and this hotel was no exception although one front desk clerk was particualrly friendly and helpful. Most others were just OK. Also most employees of the hotel were not fluent in English so we were thankful that we brushed up on our Spanish before our trip. The hotel was well worth the Expedia price we paid and we would recommend it to other travels.
