clean, minimal and reasonable value
the airconditioner did not appear to working, opening the windows was adequate this time of year. there was no free wifi or complimentary foyer coffee as stated in the hotel description. the hotel was clean, provided an economical, bus convenient option for a visit to venice.the hotel was located in fairly isolated but quiet surroundings.the hotel represented value for money but represented the bare essentials. the coffee and wifi were available at additional charge.

Good option for low cost stay in Veneza
Positives: low cost, nice personnel, good breakfast included in the price, decent diner for 15 euros, easy and unexpensive transportation to Venice with bus stop right in front of hotel, 1.50 Euros each way, but dont come back too late, after 10:30 pm there is only one bus back from Venice to the hotel by midnight. Negatives: terribly smal room with a very weak (to say the least) air conditioning.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Buy the Venice card for unlimited boat rides. I used it many many times to move within Venice and it is not expensive (12hrs, 24 hrs and 48 hrs passes). It is very nice to walk in Venice and you should do it, but after a few hours your feet will beg for the boat rides, and besides, the boat rides temselves are very nice for pictures and filming. Do NOT miss seeing the Ducal Palace. It costs 12 Euros but it is a must-see.

2nd time was a charm
We were disappointed with our first 2 days at the hotel. The recepetionist was rude and very unhelpful. We found Venice to be beautiful, a delightful city, fortunately, there were some helpful guests that directed us to the bus stop, etc..We returned again at the end of the week after visiting other areas of the country. We did request assistance from another receptionist and found him to be very helpful. The room on our return trip was a newer room and very comfortable.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Beware! Be careful when buying Murano glass. Ask the owner for a certificate of authenticity. He should produce a store number and brochure that will direct you to the authentic Murano shops. (Lots of the shops are selling glass made in China!) Murano glass is absolutely beautiful. I took home an incredible piece that will remind me of my unforgetable time in Venice.
